The Big Cat Posted December 18, 2006 Posted December 18, 2006 Does anyone know a sound way to research Buffalo's second half defensive numbers since the bye week? I have to believe they look pretty good.
eSJayDee Posted December 18, 2006 Posted December 18, 2006 NFL.com gives 1st half stats in their 'gameday' page or whatever. Take each game & subtract the 1st half #s from the total & add up the sums. A little bit of work, but nothing too daunting.
marauderswr80 Posted December 18, 2006 Posted December 18, 2006 adjustments have been huge for the Bills this year!
ganesh Posted December 18, 2006 Posted December 18, 2006 adjustments have been huge for the Bills this year! 870717 Something that Jerry Gray and company could never get it correct. Gray was a good coordinator, but did not have it when they had to make 2nd half adjustments.
Matt in KC Posted December 18, 2006 Posted December 18, 2006 Something that Jerry Gray and company could never get it correct. Gray was a good coordinator, but did not have it when they had to make 2nd half adjustments. 870718 Early in his tenure with the Bills (don't know whether to give credit to Gray or not), the defensive halftime adjustments were very good, limiting the opposition to something like 20 points TOTAL in the 3rd quarter (sorry, too busy to reasearch it). You are right, though, this is a huge improvement over last year.

Kelly the Dog Posted December 18, 2006 Posted December 18, 2006 During his early tenure...you mean when Dick LeBeau was on the staff...after Dick left our adjustments went to hell. 870950 Nope. Mularkey's first year, LeBeau was in Pitts, and the Bills' third quarter defense was the best in the league. I don't think they gave up more than four TDs the whole year in the 3rd quarter.

It was some ridiculous figure though, and it was Jerry Gray's first year as a DC by himself.

Kelly the Dog Posted December 18, 2006 Posted December 18, 2006 he was the DC in 01 and 02 by himself. 871027 Officially, or perhaps technically, but it was Gregg Williams defense, which is what I meant. He didn't have any help. I think Williams even called the defenses those years but I am not sure about that.
