Reed83HOF Posted December 15, 2006 Posted December 15, 2006 I was wondering what Christmas specials/movies everyone likes...seeing that it is this time of the year...it seems approriate to ask... My Fav... Nat'l Lampoons Christmas Vacation Honorable mention...Home Alone 1 - it just makes me laugh Least fav Christmas Story - you'll shoot your eye out...argghhh!!!
USMCBillsFan Posted December 15, 2006 Posted December 15, 2006 My favorite. I can't remember the name but it's the cartoon with the little mouse that has to fix the big clock for the town. Least favorite is probably Miracle on 34th Street. I never liked It's a Wonderful Life either until my wife made me watch it every year. Now I like it.
The Poojer Posted December 15, 2006 Posted December 15, 2006 Favorite has to be Elf Least favorite...there has to be a christmas movie with celine dion in it...that would be my least fave
bills_fan Posted December 15, 2006 Posted December 15, 2006 I'm a bit of a traditionalist...favs are White Christmas, Holiday Inn and Christmas Story Least fav would be Bad Santa or any of the drivel that has come out of Hollywood in the past 10 years posing as a Christmas movie.
/dev/null Posted December 15, 2006 Posted December 15, 2006 Woodland Critter Christmas Red Sleigh Down (Couldn't find full version)
Chilly Posted December 16, 2006 Posted December 16, 2006 Fav is A Christmas Story Least Favorite Christmas special has to be the parade specials on Christmas day As far as movies go, most likely Elf. I thought it was terrible.
SilverNRed Posted December 16, 2006 Posted December 16, 2006 I don't mind Christmas Story but as far as supposed "Christmas classics" go it's my least favorite by far. Favorite is easily It's a Wonderful Life followed by Christmas Vacation. The original Miracle on 34th Street is great. Most of the Christmas movies from the last 15 years or so are completely terrible with Elf as a big exception.
stevewin Posted December 16, 2006 Posted December 16, 2006 Even though it may be a cliche one - Charlie Brown to me still stands the test of time. The dancing scene, the music, CB's lonely walk after 'killing' his tree', Linus' monologue - all classic. I grew up having over 30 paperbacks w/ Peanuts cartoons - my daughter reads them now.
Just Jack Posted December 16, 2006 Posted December 16, 2006 My favorite. I can't remember the name but it's the cartoon with the little mouse that has to fix the big clock for the town. 867715 Twas the Night Before Christmas
cåblelady Posted December 16, 2006 Posted December 16, 2006 My favorite is: "Emmet Otter's Jug Band Christmas".
crackur Posted December 17, 2006 Posted December 17, 2006 likem all but "it's a wonderful life" is garbage
ajzepp Posted December 17, 2006 Posted December 17, 2006 My favorites are Christmas Vacation and THIS guy!
WVUFootball29 Posted December 17, 2006 Posted December 17, 2006 Favorite has got to be Christmas Vacation...watch it every Christmas eve Least favorite by far is A christmas story, I despise that movie with all my being...and of course this year they had to make the commercial with the phone in the christmas story style....blah
ans4e64 Posted December 17, 2006 Posted December 17, 2006 I know many people say "A Christmas Story" is an all time classic, and I'm not saying its a bad movie, but I just cant stand how it is on 87 times in 2 weeks every single year. Its annoying.
buckeyemike Posted December 19, 2006 Posted December 19, 2006 My favorite is Elf. Christmas Vacation is a close second, and I like Christmas Story, partially because it was filmed in my hometown. Least favorite is Bad Santa. I swear that movie was made just to shock people. Playing a F-bomb spewing Santa wasn't funny, Billy Bob. (and yes, ajzepp, I actually saw Bad Santa)
Swift Sylvan Posted December 19, 2006 Posted December 19, 2006 Favorite- Nightmare before Christmas (I know it's a halloween film, but I would argue it can count as both) Least Favorite- That Tim Allen movie where he becomes Santa Claus.
ajzepp Posted December 19, 2006 Posted December 19, 2006 (and yes, ajzepp, I actually saw Bad Santa) 872282 with the exception of Lauren Graham - one of the most underrated hotties in film, IMO - I was disappointed with 'Bad Santa' too.
buckeyemike Posted December 19, 2006 Posted December 19, 2006 with the exception of Lauren Graham - one of the most underrated hotties in film, IMO - I was disappointed with 'Bad Santa' too. 872334 Mmmm...Lauren Graham.
ajzepp Posted December 19, 2006 Posted December 19, 2006 Mmmm...Lauren Graham. 872337 I don't know why she isn't higher on the 'hottie' ladder, you know? Not only is she amazingly hot, she's got a really great personality!
