MartyBall4Buffalo Posted December 15, 2006 Posted December 15, 2006 Any Star Wars movie just never got into the whole thing. LOTR and The Matrix
BoondckCL Posted December 15, 2006 Posted December 15, 2006 1. Gone with the Wind - It is a dude taking sh-- from a stuck up B word the entire movie, and then the climax is him telling her to go !@#$ herslef? Woo Hoo, i got enough of that when my parents were married. 2. A lot of Scorsese Films - Why you ask? Just end the !@#$in movie Marty! It's like double dipping, dip the chip once, and end it! 3. LOTR - I'm sorry, if i want to see dudes walking around i'd go up to Saratoga at 2:00 morning on a Friday night or the ghetto on a Tuesday. Much more interesting things are likely to happen there. 4. Brokeback Mountain - Never seen it, i just know it's not for me. There will be more when i think of them, i'm tired i just got off of work, so give me time.
The Poojer Posted December 15, 2006 Posted December 15, 2006 Spiderman....hated it For me it's Lord of the Rings... for some reason I just can't get into it. 867253
mcjeff215 Posted December 15, 2006 Posted December 15, 2006 Speed. Speed sucks. Anything w/ Keanu Reeves (Reaves?) for that matter. Yes, even The Matrix. He's always Ted Logan in my mind.
ajzepp Posted December 15, 2006 Posted December 15, 2006 Any Star Wars movie just never got into the whole thing. LOTR and The Matrix 867521 WTF, man???
Reed83HOF Posted December 15, 2006 Posted December 15, 2006 A lot of the basics have been covered....dawn, my gf, kept telling me since I love star wars I'll love LOTR; wrong....the only reason I watched all 3 was after watching the first one I had to see how it ended...they don't live up to the hype IMO....it was more of an effort to see how they looked on my TV and how the sound was on my HTS Titanic, someone smart on here already stated the obvious - we already know the ending - DEE DE DEE...besides I hate Leo (even though he was really good in The Departed) - I love mob movies and Scorese has done some real good movies Casino, taxi Driver, Goodfellas, the Departed; but some have been clunkers too Brokeback Brady/Burschi/Mountain - no way in hell will I see that, not my cup of tea; not that there is anything wrong with that... Only The matrix was good, the 2 sequals sucked...the last one was god awful Here's where I may get flamed....I love Spaceballs, Monty Python and the Holy Grail, etc... spoofy dumb movies; but I hated Napolean Dynamite - for those of you that saw Casino Royale, I felt like 007 getting his balls smashed with a bull whip while watching it...Jon Heder was great in school for scoundrels and bench warmers, so I know it isn't a dislike of him, but this movie was just torture....
justnzane Posted December 15, 2006 Posted December 15, 2006 Napolean Dynomite 867676 "gosh" "idiot" mine is War of the Worlds. I swear I wanted to punch tom cruise in the jaw after watching that turd
Cugalabanza Posted December 15, 2006 Posted December 15, 2006 Mystic River. I saw it in the theatre because the reviews were so great. Afterwards, I couldn't stop puking for 10 days. They put me in the hospital and hooked me up to IV's just so I wouldn't die of dehydration. Then it was another month before I felt like walking or speaking again. Another six months of intensive therapy to teach me how to trust art again. I'm better now, but sometimes I wake up in the middle of the night screaming for Sean Penn to shut up? Why won't he shut up?
plenzmd1 Posted December 15, 2006 Posted December 15, 2006 Speed. Speed sucks. Anything w/ Keanu Reeves (Reaves?) for that matter. Yes, even The Matrix. He's always Ted Logan in my mind. 867605 But you did LOVE that movie right. Still watch it whenever it hits the tivo. Wonder what ever happened to the dude who played Bill?
apuszczalowski Posted December 15, 2006 Posted December 15, 2006 I hate the matrix movies, (and almost anything with Keanu (except Constantine), Tittanic, any Star Trek Movie, I've never been able to get into the 007 movies, Saw Hustle and Flow and was not impressed, Hated 8 mile, the Saw movies didn't interest me As for the opposite, Movies people hated that I loved, Death to Smoochy, Napolean Dynomite (more of an underground hit), Rob Zombies House of a 1,000 corpses and the devils rejects, and the Tenacious D movie (I only include it here because it had a horrible box office turnout)
tennesseeboy Posted December 15, 2006 Posted December 15, 2006 Why see a movie if you already know the ending 867320 Like Titanic, the Alamo or Last Passion of Christ?
ieatcrayonz Posted December 15, 2006 Posted December 15, 2006 I hate ALL of the box office smashes about Canada. I hate every one of them. Oh wait, there aren't any. One movie I liked that did not do well was called "Strange Brew". It was a brilliant documentary about Canada that was marketed as a comedy.

aussiew Posted December 15, 2006 Posted December 15, 2006 Brokeback Mountain. I watched it twice and fell asleep both times within the first 20 minutes. Then I just gave up.
X. Benedict Posted December 15, 2006 Posted December 15, 2006 The Battleship Potemkin...I just didn't "get it"... 867782 Totally agree, the symbolic significance of uprising by the crew demonstrating the failed paradigm of the capitalist in world dialectic was overblown. Now Ace Ventura, that had some nice social commentary.
Rico Posted December 15, 2006 Posted December 15, 2006 You're dead to me. 867295 Hahahaha! Gotta give VA credit for that one. That's going way back in TSW history. I forget the exact thread, but it was something about movies and someone (wasn't it you VA?) had shunned a lot of good films. Then when pressed about what films they actually like, they said: "Daddy Day Care". And as for me, the two movies I can't stand: "Magnolia" Ugh.... And "Lost in Translation". 867384 I agree on Magnolia, worst blind-buy of a DVD I've ever made. I really liked Boogie Nights, what a disappointment & what a snoozer. The frogs woke me up. I liked Lost In Translation, though. Bill Murray was great, and Scarlet MMMMMM.
Ned Flanders Posted December 15, 2006 Posted December 15, 2006 Recently, saw "Little Miss Sunshine." Saw it got several Golden Globe nominations...I thought it mildly amusing in parts, but overall, I found the comedy forced and contrived. It's no "Caddyshack," by any means.
Chef Jim Posted December 15, 2006 Posted December 15, 2006 Oh that's easy. ANY movie that most people love I absolutely hate.
