I saw it too. The story talked about him being on a plane not long after Sept 11 and get unruly, threatening to make the plane crash, etc.. He's a very big man, that must have sucked for the other passengers.

I saw that too, and could swear I saw the exact same story a year or two ago, with the same maudlin voiceover...is ESPN just recycling its' human interest stories now?

I guess what made it current is that Spellman is into extreme fighting having won his first fight last month.

I remember an article about former 1st round pick Dimitrius Underwood doing self harm in Miami some years ago, also suffering Bipolar. Can they ban Spellman from flying? Freaky incident though. Was he flying economy- how'd he fit?
