CoachChuckDickerson
AD...I knew you'd jump all over this! If he parked himself in front of the net for 4-5 PPs a night during the playoff, I think he'd bring a new dimension to this team. He's won a cup, is a high character guy that would know his role, and could be just the "wild card" this team needs to compete with the Ducks in May. That said, I'll now skulk away into the background and let everyone return to their regularly scheduled program... 866949 If the Sabres developed some kind of harness he would wear that they could attach to one of his line mates so they could haul his carcass up and down the ice I might think about it. Lurker
If the Sabres developed some kind of harness he would wear that they could attach to one of his line mates so they could haul his carcass up and down the ice I might think about it. 866954 Not a bad idea... The PP's about gaining entry and then cycling the puck. If teams had to spend more time defending the front of the net against the Sabres, they couldn't attack the point men and wingers as hard as they're doing now, which is why the PP is having so much trouble, IMO. Is LeClair that much a cripple that he couldn't skate 60 feet 4-5 times a night? Any other guys like that who might be better low-cost playoff pickups? CoachChuckDickerson
AD...I knew you'd jump all over this! AD's spidey sense kicked him square in the as*hole as soon as you typed LeClaire and Sabres in the same sentence.

Lori
Please. The Sabres would circle the ice twice before LeClair made it blueline-to-blueline. Powerplay specialist? Maybe 10 years ago, when the officials didn't mind goals being scored through the side of the net.. 866921 I loved LeClair when he was a Hab. Wouldn't have won that last Cup without him. But that was fourteen years ago, and your points are valid.

Cornerville
The Sabres need to ensure their defense is healthy and Ryan Miller needs to have his A game to win the Cup. As far as a deadline move, I am not sure who to get...but I guess a Mike Grier type...player who can skate with some grit.
meazza
I don't think the Sabres need anything at the moment. Will be hard though. Just have to stay healthy and get the bounces you need to make it all the way to the end.
DPR4444
i think the Sabres need one phyusical defenseman to add to the mix. Every dman on the roster now is a "finesse" type player, and opposing teams are starting to try to interfere with Miller/Biron.
ExiledInIllinois
Wow... They need the PP tonight v. the Panteros... Through 2 and all they are mustering is 11 shots against Belfour... And have 1/2 the PIM of FLA (FLA has x2 PIM).
