Bob Lamb Posted October 10, 2004 Posted October 10, 2004 My TV (relaxation) schedule was full as many bigs games (13) were on cable and were close, exciting games. Michigan, Notre Dame, Tenneesee and USC all posting impressive wins. Tough luck for Penn State but Purdue is a "rolling" team. Too bad for Texas and OSU - someone does care. There's still five games underway and the Yankees/Twins hit extra innings The wife should go away for more weekends Maybe the Bills might pull one out tomorrow to cap the weekend !
TigerJ Posted October 10, 2004 Posted October 10, 2004 I don't know. I got up at 5:15 to leave the house at 6:15 to drive three and a half hours to spend 6 hours and 45 minutes at a meeting an then drove another three and a half hours home (stopping 45 minutes for supper). I'm watching the LSU Florida Gators game right now, but I'm too tired to get much out of it.
Mark Vader Posted October 10, 2004 Posted October 10, 2004 You gotta love it, when a big day of college ball lives up to its hype. There were great games all around. Great defense between Oklahoma-Texas Thrilling finishes for Michigan-USC-LSU-Tennessee Purdue & Florida St. getting scares from longshots Army ending it's 19 game losing streak Nebraska giving up 70 points How about California QB Aaron Rodgers, completing his first 23 passes!! CAL outplayed USC, but not in the area where it matters most. IMO Oklahoma should be # 1 in the polls, i do'nt think USC looks like a dominant team. Can't wait for next week: Miami-Louisville: Can the Cardinals prove that they belong in the BCS? USC-Arizona St: Another tough test for USC. Auburn-Arkansas: A game the Tigers should not take lightly Florida St.-Virginia: Are the Cavaliers for real? Purdue-Wisconsin: Game of the week featuring two undefeateds. Navy-Notre Dame: Navy(5-0) goes for their first victory against the Irish in 40 years. You just gotta love football season.
Tux of Borg Posted October 10, 2004 Posted October 10, 2004 I love college football and can sit around all Saturday watching it. It's competitive and at any time the #1 team can fall to an unranked team. Then you have the "Rudy" stories like the WR from South Carolina that's 39 years old.
