No, the Twins were just beaten by a better team. Just like the Angels. If anything about the first round of the AL playoffs was pathetic, it was Sciossa's decision to bring in Jarrod Washburn yesterday. He came out of the bullpen and I literally started laughing. The thought that went through my head was, "Who is making this decison, ESPN (official network of the Red Sox)?" One pitch, Ortiz cranks it.

 

Yanks-Red Sox....here we go again.

True, but the circumstances were much different. 8-1 Yankees versus 6-6 in the Angels game, in a must-win situation, facing one of the best players in the game.

 

Point taken though, Darin. The first thing I said to my buddy when Torre came in to take the ball from Felix last night was, "Well Giambi just made the roster for the Boston series. No way Felix makes the roster."

 

He's awful. Hits a lefty in the upper back, then a righty in the foot. Sonofabitch had no idea where the ball was going.
