Playoffs not completely out of reach...

Recommended Posts

Bills are currently 2 games behind Jets, Jags, Bengals, Chiefs and Broncos in the wild card race. To get in we'd have to surpass 4 of the 5. If we beat Jets we're 1 behind them and whichever of the other teams lose we're only 1 game behind them too. With Jags we own the tie breaker due to head to head win. KC plays Baltinore who are coming off a 10 game rest after a Thursday night game. Jacksonville plays the Colts. Denver plays at San Diego with their rookie QB Cutler -- I could easily see all of these teams losing. Cincinatti plays Oakland so it's hard to see them losing but after that they have away games in Indy and Denver and finish at home against Steelers. Not impossible for them to lose 2 of those.

I know it's not probable but it's more possible than most people think that Bills have a chance at post-season.

It all starts with a win Sunday against the Jets.

what if the Bills did manage to pull out 4 wins, and make the playoffs? How fun would that be? Could it happen?

it's possible if bills win on sunday. that would mean they gain on the jets and most likely a few others with the games denver, jags and chiefs have. still a lower probability chance but hey coming down the stretch even that makes it a lot more interesting.

well everything played out as desired with the other wild card teams except for jags beating colts: denver lost to chargers, KC lost to ravens and bills of course beat jets. this means we're now 1 game behind each of these teams. jags upset of colts hurt but if you had to pick one of them to win it would have been jags since bills own outright tie breaker against them with head to head win.

stay tuned folks a win at home on sunday against miami coupled with losses by jets at minnesota, jacksonville at tennessee denver at arizona and KC at san diego would make things very interesting. really if the bills win and 2 of those other teams lose it still makes the last 2 games meaningful at that point. also don't be 100% sure cinci isn't capable of losing their last 3 as they have games at Indy and Denver and then finish at home against the Steelers.

hmmmmm ..... :(
