BoondckCL Posted December 8, 2006 Posted December 8, 2006 Just plain retarded. 860239 Agreed. How long until an elf like that is measuring the speed of a metal baseball bat that is about ot hit it? I really don't think that will last very long now that people like myself know about it. ANybody know where i can get some cheap airline tickets?

BoondckCL Posted December 8, 2006 Posted December 8, 2006 I see you're well on your way to growing up. 860748 Oh i've been there. Didn't like it, so i'm regressing.
Chef Jim Posted December 9, 2006 Posted December 9, 2006 Ummm, elves do all the work. They work 365 days a year with no overtime. Santa, the corporate fat cat, is the one that only works one day a year and get's a $2.5 mill bonus plus stock options.
ExiledInIllinois Posted December 9, 2006 Posted December 9, 2006 I wobder what constitutes "entrapment"... I remember reading a story in Illinois that they would use and officer on a tractor to nab speeders... Ahh... But who cares?

The people ACTUALLY doing the work get paid the least.
ieatcrayonz Posted December 9, 2006 Posted December 9, 2006 http://www.local6.com/news/10485255/detail.html 860227 That guy is a fake elf. Real elves spend the other 364 guarding the North Pole from Canadians.
Talonz Posted December 9, 2006 Posted December 9, 2006 Funny stuff! 860236 Garbage like this has NOTHING to do with saving lives..Its a source of income for that county or city.. The sheriff talking about it seems like a smug prick... Oh well. Guess all the rest of the crime is solved down there. Glad to see they commit so much police power to pulling over people speeding. What a utopia. I should move there.

Just Jack Posted December 9, 2006 Posted December 9, 2006 They had the sheriff and deputy on the Today show this morning, and it sounds like it started out as a joke about dressing the deputy up as an elf. The interesting part was they were still pulling people over while the interview was going on.
Nanker Posted December 10, 2006 Posted December 10, 2006 I wonder if they dressed up like the Peter Pan guy if traffic would speed up or slow down.
Just Jack Posted December 10, 2006 Posted December 10, 2006 I wonder if they dressed up like the Peter Pan guy if traffic would speed up or slow down. 861388 I'd speed up.
Oneonta Buffalo Fan Posted December 11, 2006 Posted December 11, 2006 Just plain retarded. 860239 Couldn't have said it better.
Chef Jim Posted December 11, 2006 Posted December 11, 2006 Couldn't have said it better. 862324 Aren't you supposed to be blaming somebody for something?

The interesting part was they were still pulling people over while the interview was going on. 861020 When I worked at Disney (2003) the neighboring Osceola County sheriffs did something similar - but they dressed up as European tourists, complete with the backpacks, the "football"jerseys and the floral print shirts, and carried the radar equipment in the backpacks. Busted a lot of people early in the day but then the word got out. We all thought it was BS as well, especially our coworkers who got busted...
Swift Sylvan Posted December 11, 2006 Posted December 11, 2006 I wonder if they dressed up like the Peter Pan guy if traffic would speed up or slow down. 861388 People would slow down, to look at the accidents caused by everyone before that speeding up

I remember reading a story in Illinois that they would use and officer on a tractor to nab speeders... Ahh... But who cares? 860854 A person is 'entrapped' when he is induced or persuaded by law enforcement officers or their agents to commit a crime that he had no previous intent to commit.
