Oneonta Buffalo Fan Posted December 8, 2006 Posted December 8, 2006 I do and it was the GREATEST show I ever saw. I really miss that show. I hope someday Battlebots comes back. What happen to battlebots Memories: Toro vs. NewCruelty The box is locked. The lights are on. It’s robot fightin’ time!!
stuckincincy Posted December 8, 2006 Posted December 8, 2006 Yep. They were fun to watch, but it kinda wore out - IIRC, the wedge-shaped devices that upset or overturned the Rube Goldberg jobs, and the high-speed spinners that smashed others rose to the top.
dib Posted December 8, 2006 Posted December 8, 2006 There used to be a line of Batlebot toys that you could build and fight.

Just Jack Posted December 8, 2006 Posted December 8, 2006 Deadblow was built by Grant Imahara who's on Mythbusters. Here's the book he wrote about it.... Kickin' Bot: An Illustrated Guide to Building Combat Robots
shrader Posted December 8, 2006 Posted December 8, 2006 What's scary is that it seemed like Comedy Central was trying to make that their flagship show.
Oneonta Buffalo Fan Posted December 8, 2006 Author Posted December 8, 2006 All that's left now is to buy the videos.

Kickin' Bot: An Illustrated Guide to Building Combat Robots 860450[/snapback] He also worked for Industrial Light and Magic (George Lucas) before Mythbusters. They were at a place only about 3-4 miles from me this week's show when the put the 2000 lights on the Christmas tree.
Phlegm Alley Posted December 13, 2006 Posted December 13, 2006 I didn't know this because I didn't watch the show, but apparently ESPN's Sean Salisbury got his start in broadcasting when he was the announcer for Battlebots. From Battlebots to ESPN.
Swift Sylvan Posted December 14, 2006 Posted December 14, 2006 I remember that show it was awesome. I always liked the light-weights and I remember there was one battle bot that was always the favorite, but I never saw it win and it never seemed like it should win.

It was a beast. His 3000 Rpm spinning shell was incredible. It knocked out so many opponents. Most memorable fight I think was Ziggo vs. Wacker. Absolutely crushed Wacker. Ziggo Wacker
