millbank Posted December 7, 2006 Posted December 7, 2006 NFL to raise from 102 million to 116 million by 2008 The NFL's salary cap is expected to go up by about US$7 million per team in each of the next two seasons, reaching about $116 million for 2008. The figures, which right now are approximations, were announced by members of the league's management council Wednesday at a meeting with team financial officers.
daquixers_is_back Posted December 8, 2006 Posted December 8, 2006 Which means we are going to have even MORE space ... buy hey, we cant sign Clements.
MDH Posted December 8, 2006 Posted December 8, 2006 Which means we are going to have even MORE space ... buy hey, we cant sign Clements. 860039 You mean more unused space.
daquixers_is_back Posted December 8, 2006 Posted December 8, 2006 You mean more unused space. 860041 Yep.
drnykterstein Posted December 8, 2006 Posted December 8, 2006 is there even $116 million in all of the gross product of all of the residents of buffalo?
Oneonta Buffalo Fan Posted December 8, 2006 Posted December 8, 2006 You mean more unused space. 860041 Correct.
generaLee83 Posted December 8, 2006 Posted December 8, 2006 Which means we are going to have even MORE space ... buy hey, we cant sign Clements. 860039 While I think the team SHOULD sign Clements, I don't think they will. Even if the Bills want to I don't see Nate wanting to play in Buffalo. I think he has a sour taste left in his mouth after the whole "franchise tag" fiasco and the promise to not use such tag again. (his way out of here) The Bills will be drafting secondary each and every year, it's an awful trend that seldomly changes around here.
Olaf Fub Posted December 8, 2006 Posted December 8, 2006 is there even $116 million in all of the gross product of all of the residents of buffalo? 860057 No offense, but you do realize that the players live in the area for at least half the year.

The Bills will continue to be a losing team as long as they continue to draft like a losing team. 07 would seem like the perfect time to strengthen the OL, DL and LBs. Will it happen? It might, but my money says that Levy goes with a corner in the 1st, and doesn't stop there in terms of drafting secondary. Let's just hope that we are dead wrong.

keepthefaith Posted December 9, 2006 Posted December 9, 2006 Which means we are going to have even MORE space ... buy hey, we cant sign Clements. 860039 That remains to be seen. Nate I'm sure wants to put himself in the best bargaining position which is to be a free agent at the end of the year. Nate holds all the cards.
YOOOOOO Posted December 9, 2006 Posted December 9, 2006 If the Bills dont sign Clements, it will be a huge mistake....The dude is as shutdown as it gets....
bbfan54 Posted December 10, 2006 Posted December 10, 2006 The cap space goes up for all the other teams as well. All that does is make free agents more expensive not easier to sign.
BuffaloRebound Posted December 10, 2006 Posted December 10, 2006 The guy has been playing well lately. But no one is the least bit concerned that he'll shift back to neutral once he gets the big payday? He has shown signs that he could be that type of player.
