Clap! Clap!

Hence from my post two or so pages ago:

...

The "seven social sins":

Knowledge without character

Science without humanity

Wealth without work

Commerce without morality

Politics without principles

Pleasure without conscience

Worship without self-sacrifice

- Mahatma Gandhi

I remember when I was first exposed to Gandhi and Hinduism. I was absolutely fascinated by it, and it was a huge step in my growth as an ecumenically minded Christian. One quote of his really helped me with my perspective: "The day I meet a Christian is the day I will become one." I love that quote, and while a lot of Christians may take offense to it, I think they should instead use it as motivation to be certain they are living in accordance with Christian principles.

IMO, there are a lot of folks down here in the 'Bible Belt' who need to internalize what Gandhi meant when he said this.

Since God is a matter or personal beliefs and dependant on Faith, what can you say?

I am guessing you have already spoken to him enough that he knows what you believe, am I correct?

What is there to argue about? All you can do at this point is shrug your shoulders and say "to each his own".

If you believe there is a God, a Supreme Being, an Immortal Spirit - I would trust in God to give the person ample opportunities to make a choice.

If you are so moved, pray for him - jerks need more prayers than the "saved" anyway! :wallbash:

Just my two cents!

Yes, I believe in God, but not the same way that someone else might. It is always personal.

P.S. My street is lined with Christmas lights, but that does not mean I am on a street full of Christians! :w00t:

The guy that runs concession here at the base makes it known almost on a daily basis that he does NOT believe in the "man upsatirs". Disgruntled over his life choices from what I gather. Today his quote was that Christianity is a "dieing religion" and to "just look, each year there is less and less christmas decorations at peoples houses". Cant/wont argue with this guy. What would you do?Do you believe? Any suggestions?

NO! No more smilies. Some here should be put on probation for smilie abuse.

I'm a dyslexic atheist Democrat.

I don't believe in dog but I do believe we should serve the government except in time of war.

By the way, I love the new KFC Democratic bucket - all left wings and asswholes.
