My observations after watching the game

Travis Henry- Played alright, showed some good burst early in the game. Fumbled again, not a good sign. Hopefully his injury isn't serious as we will need him to be heatlhy come the 12th.

 

Our offense will be much better this year. The routes our recievers have been running are much more sound and better suited to a pocket passer then what Killdrive had them running last year. Very impressed with the playcalling. I didn't like that pass down near the goal line early in the game though.

 

I like the fact that the D is forcing turnovers but I think they were doing it last year at this time too. Kelsay was getting some good penetration but he overpursued the play a few times. Denney looked solid on that short pass to the running back. In very good position.

 

Anyone care to rate the play of Lawrence Smith??? I'm not a real good judge of line play other then bad play and I can't say he blew any/many assignments. He actually opened some holes for Travis early.
