Must say, was a little nervous bout having a woman doctor, especially for the turn your head and cough test, and the KY and glove snap test. Anxiety when even higher when in walks this smokin hottie no more than 30 years old.The show wood problem had been discussed here a while ago, and of course this was all I could think off the entire time

Thankfully, no wood in the room. As an added benefit, the fingers on a 110lb women sure felt better than the finger of the 6"2 , 220 doctor I normally see. She will definetly be requested for my annual gig from now on!!!!!

I don't get it. You guys really have a problem with popping wood with a female doc? Sheesh, would a little self-control be too much to ask?!?

no problem as I was good to go, but yep, thought did cross my mind.

And I have never been able to control what that little fella is going to do

I've gotten two physicals from women doctors.

First time was when i was 16 and in the ER for putting my head through a car's windshield. She made me lay down on the table while she checked me down there.

Second time i was getting a physical for the military. One second she was checking my back while i was bending over. The next thing i know she was giving me the finger test. I had no idea it was coming, but it didn't take long. You gotta watch out for those women docs... sneaky things.

I've had sports physicals from women doctors a couple times when in college. Not really a big deal, but I can't see how you could possibly even have to worry about the wood problem in a doctors office...not exactly a stimulating environment

I like having women doctores for most things. Been shaved down there for the big snip by a nurse. Physicals etc. my primary doctore is a woman.

But the most embarrasing came when a smoking hot female doctor did the scope up the ass thing. That was bad.

I have to admit it takes a lot of balls to admit you like having an older woman shove her finger up your ass. :D

Consider the alternative...Male doctor with huge hands! My primary doc(female) moved out of town a couple years back and the prostate exam hasn't been the same since then. :P

I have a friend who has for years had a female doctor. I asked why. His response? Two words.....long narrow fingers. Shortly after, I go to a new doctor. Sitting in the waiting room for our first appt wondering what he looks like. In walks a guy 6'3" 250-275 with HUGE hands. :D

When I was in school, I was going to a female doc....the best doc I've ever been to, for sure. Well, there came a time when I had a wee bit of a rectal issue (wont' go into details), so she sent me to a GI doc as a precaution just to be certain it wasn't anything to worry about.

When she did a digital rectal on me, it was not a big deal at all....just like you guys said. But of course when i went to the specialist, he was this short, stubby older guy with short, stubby fingers. Why someone like that would go into gastroenterology when there are so many OTHER areas of medicine to go into is beyond me....

Actually it was behind you.

I shouldn't say this cause your all gonna call me a fag, but WTF, nothing ventured nothing gained.

My last physical was done by a female special super nurse. Maybe a nurse practicioner? Anyway, I don't think she was comfortable with the exam. She did all the normal stuff OK, even the cough thingy. But, when it came time to bend over she was in n out in less than 3 seconds. I've heard those things should take longer, but that was it. Hopefully she did have time to check everything she was supposed to.

Even though I'm in the biz, I don't recommend that people go to NPs for medical issues. If given the choice, I'd go with a Physician Assistant (PA-C) or a "real" doc. I have looked at the curriculum of the NP programs and I just don't have enough confidence in it to trust them as practioners. PAs are trained in the medical model and are, IMO, in a much better position to perform a competent exam and make proper treatment decisions. While I'm sure there are some NPs out there who are very good, as a general rule I'd avoid them when it comes to primary care.

If you're having a baby, then NPs are great....
