rocketbills
first year as the full time starter. i'm not even gonna count last season. he was pulled far too early and then jerked in and out of two games. poor coaching really stunted his growth, but this year he has really turned things around. i'm proud of him and i think the sky is the limit for JP. he will still be up and down learning this new O and he is not perfect, but he will get better and i think his guts and moxy are gonna carry him a long ways. go bills!!! Oneonta Buffalo Fan
second year starter* 854268 That's right, second year. But I think he means first year only because Jp never played a full season.
Lori
second year starter* 854268 That asterisk is well-deserved. One has to wonder what would've happened if Mularkey had allowed Losman the chance to work through and learn from his mistakes, as the current regime is doing... /dev/null
I've never really placed much faith in QB rating as an accurate measure of a QB ability. A couple of good games will bump up the rating and a couple bad games will drive it down That said I see he's only 3 points behind Brady. Hopefully JP will keep having good games and Marcia will have a couple bad games. Would love to see JP above Brady on any list

They both are meaningless. The QB rating does not take into account sacks or fumbles. It doesn't take into account the INT's that turn in TD's. It also doesn't take into account drop passes, third down passing conversions and red zone passing.

While the QB rating does not tell the entire story the fact that JP is rated where he is a good measurement of his improvement. Face the facts JP haters he has improved and the grass is not always greener on the other side.

But since he has a decent one, it proves the rating is meaningless.
CFLstyle
I think if Mularky left Losman in last year for the whole season, it would have hurt Losman more than it would have helped. Last year Mularky just sort of threw him out to the Wolves, his gameplan was terrible and well the staff just didn't do a very good job at getting Losman prepared. This year the team has gotten McGahee a lot mroe involved and I think Jauron has done a lot more to get Losman prepared, this year Losman is going in the right direction and he has a decent system around him. Last year was just a nightmare and it would have been impossible for any quarterback to play well under those circumstances.

Even still, the hate will continue because irrational hate is immune to the objectivity of the numbers.

Completely meaningless.

Berman
I myself don't need to see the Bills pull off a huge upset and win today in order to say confidently that JP is our guy and the franchise is heading in the right direction and stabele at the all important QB position. He does however need to continue to improve and limit his mistakes. I would like to see the coaches show a vote of confidence and let him play more aggressively. In my opinion this is "tell-tale" sign that behind closed doors they believe what they have been preaching to us fans... JP is our guy for the future. We have got to open it up a little today in order to win.
