Johnny Coli Posted November 29, 2006 Posted November 29, 2006 (edited) 851145 EDIT: Whoops.......SPOILER ALERT!!!!! Good for him! If that was on American TV they would have cut to a commercial seven times before the ball came to rest. Also, I didn't know you could smoke a pipe in a Vegas casino. Chilly Posted November 29, 2006 Posted November 29, 2006 I don't think he's that dumb, he probably would have gotten his savings back on just the tv shows alone.

Cool to see the video though. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ashley_Revell And as you said, he would've gotten that money back on the TV circuit, people feeling sorry for him, hell the casino might've even given him some/all of it back as a publicity stunt. CW

CW 851181 I think the casino's wanted him to win as a publicity stunt. "Hey that guy won, I can win too" Minus the TV camera's, that is among the dumbest things you can do
Swift Sylvan Posted November 29, 2006 Posted November 29, 2006 I hadn't seen the video before, I was kind of hoping he would lose just to see the reactions of everyone there

millbank Posted November 29, 2006 Author Posted November 29, 2006 Especially since he'd have better odds just flipping a coin. 851283 The man ended up doubling his money, if he did it by good fortune , lucky for him. If he had agreement with Casino very smart of him. Often folks when others win something always point to a negative as to how they won, I suppose this a question of what you wish to believe rather it was on the up and up or it was not. I am going to believe the positive on this one that it was honest. I cannot imagine what would happen to casino if they were found to be rigging the game.
Fezmid Posted November 29, 2006 Posted November 29, 2006 I think you misunderstood my post -- I never said it wasn't on the up-and-up. No way would the casino rig it IMHO. I was just commenting that he had a better chance to win on a coin flip, since his odds of winning on the roulette table are slightly less than 50%

Fezmid Posted November 29, 2006 Posted November 29, 2006 those negative vibes ..... get to work 851421 I'm not at work, I'm in class and it doesn't start for 20 minutes.

You'll get 5 to 3 by betting two columns at right around 66%.
millbank Posted November 29, 2006 Author Posted November 29, 2006 I'm not at work, I'm in class and it doesn't start for 20 minutes. 851422 Well then , go sharpen yourr pencils and clean the erasers and chalk board for your teacher.

MattyT Posted November 29, 2006 Posted November 29, 2006 An opportunity to recommend a good movie... Pwning Mahowny
Pine Barrens Mafia Posted November 29, 2006 Posted November 29, 2006 But then you won't get double or nothing. 851429 Pretty close, though. Almost always a winner when you stick to a limit and do that.
apuszczalowski Posted November 29, 2006 Posted November 29, 2006 Wonder if Blinker saw that video and gave him the idea to bet the house on Indy against Buffalo? Well, he is definitly a lucky SOB, and a stupid one
The Tomcat Posted November 29, 2006 Posted November 29, 2006 Thats a great commercial for his company...... Could it have been a hoax just to get people to view his website?
