EDIT:

Good for him!

If that was on American TV they would have cut to a commercial seven times before the ball came to rest. Also, I didn't know you could smoke a pipe in a Vegas casino.

I don't think he's that dumb, he probably would have gotten his savings back on just the tv shows alone.

This is a couple years old. Cool to see the video though.

And as you said, he would've gotten that money back on the TV circuit, people feeling sorry for him, hell the casino might've even given him some/all of it back as a publicity stunt.

I think the casino's wanted him to win as a publicity stunt.

"Hey that guy won, I can win too"

Minus the TV camera's, that is among the dumbest things you can do

Especially since he'd have better odds just flipping a coin. :bag:

The man ended up doubling his money, if he did it by good fortune , lucky for him. If he had agreement with Casino very smart of him. Often folks when others win something always point to a negative as to how they won, I suppose this a question of what you wish to believe rather it was on the up and up or it was not. I am going to believe the positive on this one that it was honest. I cannot imagine what would happen to casino if they were found to be rigging the game.

I think you misunderstood my post -- I never said it wasn't on the up-and-up. No way would the casino rig it IMHO. I was just commenting that he had a better chance to win on a coin flip, since his odds of winning on the roulette table are slightly less than 50% :bag:

Not if you're smart. You'll get 5 to 3 by betting two columns at right around 66%.
