Most Important Game Of the Year

The problem with buying tickets off of Ebay is that those tickets have already been accounted for.  Purchasing them won't help lift the blackout.

True, which is why I said I bought 5 - 2 are season tickets, which were then sold on eBay (to a TSWer?) and 3 more were purchased last week from the Bills. The upper deck seats are ~$60 ea. from Ticketmaster (after all associated fees), so i do understand that they're considerably more expensive.

I'm convinced the reasons for the non-sellouts are:

CHI 40 - Buff 7

DET 20 - Buff 17

NE 28 - Buff 6

Also, the casual fan thought Losman was the problem, not outside factors (viz: the coaches and gameplans and forced learning curve).

It's too late to jump on the bandwagon, though it might yet happen if the Bills somehow win the next two.

I am sure that every person here has a different idea of why the Bills game will not be televised for a 2nd week in a row but I am having a hard time stomaching it. Even though I will be at the game, I just find it depressing that there are 9,000 tickets left with 48 hours to go.

Have a lot of people placed their $$ towards Sabres games? Has the interest in this team really gone down the tubes after 6 years of misery?? The Bills are starting to take on an identity (FINALLY) and look like they are taking on a team atmosphere.  It is just too bad that NOW people are missing out on the turning point.

If you're going to be at the game, who cares... Let the people who dont want to shell out the dough once and awhile to see their team listen to the radio, while we watch it live. :bag:

It makes me sick: cheapest tickets in the NFL and can't sell out.

If I lived in the Buff I would have seasons tickets!

Should I turn my season tickets back in? I live in Virginia, and can't wait to be there on Sunday!

I don't buy the "sick and tired of losing" argument, as the Bills have actually started winning and have two exciting late drives to win those games. If the losing was the reason, the New England, Green Bay and Vikings games shouldn't have sold out.

My guess is it's a combination of many factors. The economy plays a factor, but unless something dramatic happened in the past few weeks, that doesn't explain it all by itself. But, combine that with Thanksgiving and the expense of Christmas approaching and that could account for some of the fall off.

Also, I'm guessing the Jags didn't sell many tickets in J-ville and I doubt there are many Jag fans in WNY. Most games get SOME contingent of fans from the opposition. I'm not sure how big SD's national fan base is, but I doubt many Californians make the road trip to Buffalo for the game (unlike the fans in REAL football cities who make treks all the time...especially to San Diego).

This does not excuse the poor showing at the Ralph last Sunday and, perhaps, this coming Sunday...but it helps explain it, I think. It will be a real shame if this team continues to develop and they aren't playing to a full house, and the locals don't get to watch it on TV, in December.

BTW, as far as I can tell, the Bengals game on Thursday night is a "blackout" to those without the NFL network, as it does not appear that is is going to be shown by the local CBS affiliate.

How sh------- would that be?

????

The TW on-screen guide shows it's on the NBC affiliate WLWT -TV, channel 5 here in Cincy, u.

Pre-game show at 7 PM, then 8 PM for the game.

No way will the Bills sell 9,000 tickets or even 6,000 in two days. It's impossible unless a company swoops in to buy the remaining one's. An incredibly "hot" event like the Sabres Eastern conf finals last year could move that many tickets in a few days but not a regular season Bills game....no matter how important it looks on paper.

I'm sick of hearing how the economy of WNY is keeping Bills fans away...christ, Rockpile seats are $27 each...and people are pretty much GIVING them away on eBay.

Its easy to toot horns and say how great Bills fans are when things are going well...look how :bag: Green Bay is, they're a small market, but they have no problem selling out.

Its time to put your money where your mouth is...I'm not rich by any means, but I'm personally responsible for 5 of the seats in the stadium being filled this weekend.  Make it happen or STFU.

I totally agree with this point. WNY isnt the back woods of Alabama. People do make money here. If you dont agree with me, go to any of the three casinos in this area. People are spending their kids college fund on a nightly basis there.
