K-gunner Posted November 26, 2006 Posted November 26, 2006 Kelsay's an UFA. Wonder how much it will take to re-sign him? 848623 Hargrove or Denney might be taking his spot next year.I like him but if the cash gets stupid let him go.DT and OL should be top priority.
Alaska Darin Posted November 26, 2006 Posted November 26, 2006 "First off," no. How about F-NO!!! JP got "lucky" in the sense that he got away with a couple of bad passes. His skills prevailed in that he was able to lead the team to a win against a good defense, and a team that was able to run against our defense. Bro, calm down. 848469 All good QBs get away with a couple of bad passes each week. Flutie was the king of it and he wasn't actually all that good. This was another step in the right direction against a VERY good defense. One that has dominated some really fine competition.
MadBuffaloDisease Posted November 26, 2006 Posted November 26, 2006 Hargrove or Denney might be taking his spot next year.I like him but if the cash gets stupid let him go.DT and OL should be top priority. I agree. I haven't seen the games, but is Hargrove getting most of his time/stats at DE or DT?
RunTheBall Posted November 26, 2006 Posted November 26, 2006 Kelsay and Schoebel are starting to look like a top flight DE tandem. On offense we need to invest in the line.. period. 848616 I've been pretty harsh on the DE's and this was one of their better games as a unit that I've seen. I'm very far from calling them a top-flight DE tandem, but the DEs played well once they started sticking to their assignments and not trying to make every play. What I liked was that every rush was not a speed rush to the outside and in the second half, they stayed home and were able to make some stops in the run game. RTB
The Dean Posted November 26, 2006 Posted November 26, 2006 1) Forget the stats for this game. I cannot imagine why any Bills Fan would not want to keep London Fletcher on our football team in 07. 2) What I am telling you is that Jason Peters played at a pro-bowl level today. Can you even begin to imagine what he could do in 07 playing next to a true left guard? 3) It is hard to come up with words to say just how bad Tim Anderson is. As for Williams, horrid games are to be expected from a 5th round rookie but make no mistake about it, he was God awful, and I am being kind. 4) You see, Lee Evans is turning into a superstar before our eyes. Time for an extension? That's right......a !@#$ superstar. 5) OK, he was a guard, but a player named John (Hog) Hannah used to block superstar DT Randy White, and then kick the living snot out of a defensive back. What I am trying to illustrate is just how good Jason Peters has the potential to be. 6) In the "credit where it is due" dept., Whitner played well today. 7) You people worry too much about qbs in general. That said, JP got lucky today, but he also showed that he can make it in this football league. 8) Honestly, I never thought that I would see the day that Roscoe Parrish could win a game for the Buffalo Bills Football Team. 9) By the way, Jason Peters looks like a player. 10) GO BUFFALO BILLS FOOTBALL TEAM!!!!!!!!!!GO BILLS FANS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 848447 Funny thing, Bill. I was thinking of you after the game and wondering what you'd say about the performance of "little guys" Parrish, Evans and Whitner. As you are a class act, you stepped right up and gave credit where it's due. Good for you. Wins are good...no?
Simon Posted November 27, 2006 Posted November 27, 2006 Perhaps I was harsh Coach. The early pass that was picked and fumbled and the pass that bumped off of the chest of a linebacker could have gone really bad. He WAS able to lead the team to victory at the end. I wasn't intent on bashing JP, just commenting about the game. He was good, and he was lucky. Is that better? 848538 The pass that was picked was actually not Losman's fault as he was hit by either Gandy or Fowler during his deliver. Otherwise it might have been a score to Evans on the post-corner. He only threw one really bad ball all day (he was off-target on one hitch to Price as well) and that was the throw to Royal you mentioned which the 'backer batted down. Losman played under pressure quite a bit today (all this talk about the OLine's great performance is baffling to me) and to go an entire game against a defense like that and only throw a single bad ball deserves a better nod than "he got lucky" I think. Cya 848914 yep, he was hit. not a bad play. anyway, it basically functioned as a 50 yard pass.
BuffaloRebound Posted November 27, 2006 Posted November 27, 2006 From what I saw, the DE's played very well today. Consistent pressure on the outside and when the JAX RB's were actually stopped near the line, it was the DE's making the tackle. Definitely seems like an upgrade at the DT position is necessary (would like to see a veteran added here).
ganesh Posted November 27, 2006 Posted November 27, 2006 Kelsay's an UFA. Wonder how much it will take to re-sign him? 848623 Same as what they offered Ryan Denney.

Fletcher is one of the best players on the team. 2) I am not ready to anoint Peters with a Pro-Bopwl, but he is getting better. Gandy is doing a great job at LG. He was a guard in college and should stay at there. 3) you must get better TV angles than we do to see that detail on the DL? I could not make that assessment. Williams took a bad panalty. Anderson is a limited player and may be gone next season. 4) OK 5) So now your comparing Peters to a Hall of Fame Guard from the 70's? FYI --- Playing for NE, how many games do you think Hannah actually played against Randy White? 6) Whitner was a non-factor against the run. 7) JP made his breaks too. 8) Why not? 9) Peters for State Senator! 10) Rah Rah!
Albany,n.y. Posted November 27, 2006 Posted November 27, 2006 I'm glad we signed Cieslak, he looked good today both blocking and catching the football. 848472 One more nail in Kevin Everett's NFL career coffin.

BuffOrange Posted November 27, 2006 Posted November 27, 2006 Didn't Fletcher completely whiff on the Girrard scramble?
SilverNRed Posted November 27, 2006 Posted November 27, 2006 One more nail in Kevin Everett's NFL career coffin. 849083 He says he's still not 100% back from his injury last year. He may turn out to be a complete dud but he's signed through next year and there's still a (small) chance he turns out to be a lot more than what he's been so far.
HurlyBurly51 Posted November 27, 2006 Posted November 27, 2006 Didn't Fletcher completely whiff on the Girrard scramble? 849187 I thought it was Crowell
keepthefaith Posted November 27, 2006 Posted November 27, 2006 I thought it was Crowell 849196 At least 5 guys had a shot at him. Garrard made some nifty moves on that one.
HurlyBurly51 Posted November 27, 2006 Posted November 27, 2006 At least 5 guys had a shot at him. Garrard made some nifty moves on that one. 849200 Yeah, sportscenter highlighted the 5 or so, but the guy with the absolute best shot and angle was Crowell.
BuffOrange Posted November 27, 2006 Posted November 27, 2006 At least 5 guys had a shot at him. Garrard made some nifty moves on that one. 849200 He ran thru a couple DB's right at the marker, which happens....no excuse for the LB to miss 2 yards shy though.
