Peter Posted November 25, 2006 Posted November 25, 2006 ESPN the Mag published the scouting reports for JP, Ben, Eli, and Rivers from 2004. They are pretty interesting -- especially in hindsight. Here is the Scouts Inc. scouting report for JP from 2004: Excellent arm strength, gets terrific velocity on his downfield passes. But his inconsistent timing as a passer is a concern. Doesn't have great presnap recognition skills, and has problems reading defenses. Doesn't see the whole field all the time and lacks patience in the pocket. Will need some good coaching and time to develop his ability to see the entire field and his patience in the pocket. This can be found on page 74.
Bills Fan888 Posted November 25, 2006 Posted November 25, 2006 JP had horrible coaching last year but I am confident in the coaching this year so JP should become good.
jarthur31 Posted November 25, 2006 Posted November 25, 2006 Let's not forget to take into account the lines he's played behind either.
JPTheRealDeal07 Posted November 26, 2006 Posted November 26, 2006 That sounds pretty right on, the plus is that his flaws are all correctable, and I think we're seeing some of that better coaching this year. But I do think we're going to need a better supporting cast for him to be good week to week, I think he'll still be a bit up and down the rest of the season
