makbeer Posted November 23, 2006 Posted November 23, 2006 This is the kid I thought we *should* have taken *if* we decided to go with a QB. NOT Leinart. He absolutely wowed me in a couple games I watched of his, especially a win over Tennessee. How the hell do you beat Tennessee with VANDERBILT. It was amazing to watch. The kid is all heart. Rumours are that he'll be starting next week after Jake screws up again in KC this week. Apparently they weren't comfortable giving a rook the reigns on a 4 day week going in to KC, one of the toughest stadiums in the league - but they've got 10 days off after that, and that's when they plan to unveil him. Keep an eye out, I think he'll be the best in the class.

You know that is what this is going to turn in to and you are nothing but an instigator.

Is Mike Mularky running that team with Millen from the Lions as his GM?

Is Mike Mularky running that team with Millen from the Lions as his GM? 846419 He was citing this article on NFL.com where a source within the Denver organization confirmed it's pretty much the case that they plan to go with Cutler after this game. Truth is, the game vs. KC is huge and I would not be surprised if part of this is to light a fire under Plummer for a prime-time divisional road game to keep pace with San Diego.

It could happen, maybe they will do it, but it would almost be a slap in the face to the fans saying we could make the playoffs but we'd rather try out a rookie QB (opposite of MM's move last year, except Buffalo was supposed to be rebuilding and not expected to make a playoff push) I could understand this move more if it was a veteran QB behind Plummer.

I don't know if he's the best in his class - Vince Young may eventually earn that moniker. But, he *was* the Vandy offense. I like JP and I think considering Cwhere he was in his development cycle, taking a QB would have been the wrong thing to do - for his sake. But if the Bills drafted Cutler I would have been doing somersaults in my kitchen...

JPTheRealDeal07 Posted November 23, 2006 Posted November 23, 2006 Even of Plummer does play alright it's like keeping the Corvette in the garage and driving the ford escort
Max997 Posted November 23, 2006 Posted November 23, 2006 And...a rookie would? 846442 you will have to ask Shanahan that question
apuszczalowski Posted November 23, 2006 Posted November 23, 2006 Even of Plummer does play alright it's like keeping the Corvette in the garage and driving the ford escort 846447 I wouldn't go and say it that way. Its more like driving the Escort (dependable and you know it will get you there) while keeping the freshly rebuilt corvette in the garage (you know it will be better, but because you just rebuilt it, there still could be bugs that need to be worked out before it is gonna become a great car) Also the corvette may be flashy, but its not always the best choice. If the weather is great and driving conditions perfect, the corvette is a better choice, but in a stormy or crappy weather, your better off sticking with the Escort
mead107 Posted November 23, 2006 Posted November 23, 2006 JP in college won most games on his own . LET IT GO PEOPLE , JP IS OUR GUY
djfarr00 Posted November 23, 2006 Posted November 23, 2006 JP in college won most games on his own . LET IT GO PEOPLE , JP IS OUR GUY 846520 Yes his team sure was outstanding.
MadBuffaloDisease Posted November 23, 2006 Posted November 23, 2006 Yes his team sure was outstanding. Yep. Look at all the great NFL players it produced.
djfarr00 Posted November 23, 2006 Posted November 23, 2006 Yep. Look at all the great NFL players it produced. 846594 I don't even know what to do with that. Are you serious?
CFLstyle Posted November 23, 2006 Posted November 23, 2006 Broncos are making a bad move if they go with Cutler, as great as I think Cutler will be (I'll even go as far as to say he's the next Brett Favre) this is not the time to make a quarterback change. They should be waiting until next season.
CFLstyle Posted November 23, 2006 Posted November 23, 2006 Mewelde Moore and JP Losman are the only NFL players from that time Tulane that I can think of, I also know of Byron Parker he's a DB in the CFL from Tulane, hell of a player.
MadBuffaloDisease Posted November 24, 2006 Posted November 24, 2006 I don't even know what to do with that. Are you serious? As serious as you were.
PromoTheRobot Posted November 24, 2006 Posted November 24, 2006 Has Cutler played a down in the regular seasn? No? So you are basing your feelings on some pre-season games. I'm not saying he won't be good, just that it's a little prematue to be declaring him the next Elway. Besides, I bet he'd look like total crap behind our O-line. PTR
