you'd think a team that beats dallas, pittsburgh and the giants, whips jets 41-0, would have a cake walk against texans. instead they lose both games. one w/ leftwich and one w/ garrard.

the easy prediction would be that since buff just beat texans and jags lose twice to texans, we beat jags. but the matchups don't look great for buffalo. jags looked great monday night stopping the run and putting pressure up the middle on passes. they can also run the ball and their receivers are big and physical. the team they most closely resemble bills have played is minnesota (except jags have a better offense.) i think that was JPs best game of the year in terms of reading the defense and avoiding sacks. it will take another one of his best efforts for bills to win. because if texans stop our rush it's hard to imagine running well against the jags.

The knock on the Jags this season is they play to their opponents level. Play a good team, they play good and usually win, play a bad team, and they have a bad game and lose. That explains why the Texans could beat them twice.

That also goes to show that no game is a definite win or a definite loss because anything can happen and anyone can win a game

Their recievers also have the most dropped passes in the league.

One way to try and take advantage of their aggresiveness on D is to throw a lot of screens, and utilize the 3-step drop to get the ball out of JP's hands quickly.

The Giants got beat because Sh-Eli blows, their #2 WR (Toomer) is out for the year. Plax is good at catching jump balls, but he has trouble getting open, and Tiki was playing with a sprained thumb.

They played PIT in Big-Ben's first game back from appendectomy/motorcycle crash.

They played DAL first game of the year with Threw Deathblow at the healm.

In the NFL There is no relationship between past results and future games. It would not surprise me if the Bills beat the Jags 24-10 or if they beat Buffalo by the same score.

They managed to stop our running game, but gave up a career day to Evans and Losman. You give and take. Jags will most likeley still play towards stopping the run. Losman has to be on the money for a few big plays to get them to drop the 8th man out of the box (which i think he will). Also the Jags offense will be a bit easier to handle. The Bills historically dominate "2nd stringers" w/the exception of Brady <_<

And the Pittsburgh Steelers with the playoffs on the line.

But other than that...

without the two smoke and mirror 80 yr bombs evans caught, we would have won.  they have a good running game and their D is getting better .  jags have lost a few soft ones -- washington.

Right because 80 plus yard bombs completed for touchdowns are never earned 0:)

Smoke and mirrors? WTF are you talking about? The first was lucky and the second was a fluke? Must've been the same smoke and mirrors they used last year to hook up three times for scores vs. Miami, right?

1st off, calm down spaz. 2nd, yeah, jp threw that 1st one off his back foot as he got hit by 5 guys. it was a lucky toss. we had NO NO NO running game, or any offense other than those two deep balls. we won, that is all that matters . but a review of the game shows a crap OL that has no push on the running game. i think the texans were superior in balance and execution across the board. just an opinion. hey, we won -- and that is all that matters. but beyond the two tosses (most yrds by a receiver in 1 quarter EVER in NFL history) you have to wonder...

Gee, Skippy, I guess if the entire Houston defense didn't hit Losman, he would have...uhhh...what? Overthrown Evans? So what you're saying is he was lucky he got hit because the force of the hit caused the trajectory of the ball to hit Evans perfectly in stride. Got it.

And the second pass that hit him in stride, again, was clearly a tremendous oddity, I guess.

But more to the point, if the Texans were superior in balance and execution across the board, how did they lose the lead in the last two minutes of the game? How did they allow our smoke-n-mirror offense to drive down the field in textbook fashion and put one in the endzone with only nine seconds left on the clock? Was their defense hitting Losman the entire last drive so the ball's trajectory was more accurate as he went six-for-six and the touchdown?

Look. I get it. We're not that good of a team, but to call his two touchdown passes to Evans smoke and mirrors either underscores your ignorance about the game or, more likely, is simply an attempt to ruffle feathers while DeLuca is away from the keyboard.

the second loss was a bit of a surprise, give the Texans credit for going to Jax and beating them after beating them earlier in the year

Jax is an up and down team that could easily come out flat this weekend

Each game Losman has to play better than his previous game if we want any chance to make the playoffs. Now we'll have a chance to see what he's really made of.

Because without those two 80 yard bombs there defense played very good 0:)
