Oneonta Buffalo Fan
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fQ889qbGjWE I'm wondering why he apologized on the Letterman show. I'm not black, but white, but nevertheless people of all races should forgive him. I really don't think he purposely meant to hurt anyone's feelings. But that's as far as I can say. ExiledInIllinois
It may be in almost everybody... I know it is, the hate... It is hard to explain, people don't want to believe they are racist, which may or may not be the case. It is all about POWER of the moment, finding a weakness of your adversary and exploiting it... And it is so easy to do with regards to color and race By no way am I dismissing what Richards did... It was really awful... Quite lazy too... I bet he would be the first to admit that... Quite a springboard for race (and other types of) relations... You just don't broach this type of talk in a controlled, normal forum... It comes out of stuff like this... I hear that the hecklers are seeking a lawsuit? That may be their way to regain the power of a unfortunate situation... Yet, it does nothing to achieve equality between the sides. Ther are positives that can come out of stuff like this... The power now lies in the victims' control... That is a mighty tall burden to do what is considered "right."
