I didn't think it was really a clothesline. Personally, I thought it was a clean play. I've seen it called before, but I don't think it SHOULD be called. Didn't hit him in the head, didn't try to kill him on the hit, so I think it was good.

I dont it was at all that serious....but i watched the SD/CIN game last week and saw the same exact thing called.....

 

 

and the no doubt in my mind...if that was Brady it would have been called

isnt illegal to clothsline a player....especially a QB???

Should have been called, it gets called every other time, and flags get thrown for less quite often. It wasn't vicious, but you've got to protect the QBs, everyone knows the rules and making those calls keeps defenders from pushing the envelope.
