Dr. K Posted November 20, 2006 Posted November 20, 2006 "It was an all go route where we had four verticals going up the seam," said Price. "And J.P. in the huddle before the play said, 'I'm not throwing the freaking check down this time. I've got to take a shot in the end zone so guys get open.' I was running the route and the guy covering the slot backed up and sat down and I wrapped around behind him and J.P. threw a great ball and I did a good job of getting my feet down."
rolly Posted November 20, 2006 Posted November 20, 2006 Glad to hear it. If you're going to be a leader, you need to have some edge to you a la jim kelly. Maybe price needs to be yelled at more often.

Nanker Posted November 20, 2006 Posted November 20, 2006 He probably didn't say "freaking." 842598 Right. Undoubtedly he said "lousy" and finished the sentence with, "Gosh darn it!"
Dr. K Posted November 20, 2006 Author Posted November 20, 2006 He probably didn't say "freaking." 842598 I think he threatened to taze the next guy who dropped a pass.
Wraith Posted November 20, 2006 Posted November 20, 2006 Right. Undoubtedly he said "lousy" and finished the sentence with, "Gosh darn it!" 842605 J.P. Flanders.
SilverNRed Posted November 20, 2006 Posted November 20, 2006 I think he threatened to taze the next guy who dropped a pass. 842607 Which proves tasers work.
Bungee Jumper Posted November 20, 2006 Posted November 20, 2006 ...and finished the sentence with, "Gosh darn it!" 842605 Sounds more like a "dangnabbit!" moment, actually.
2020 Our Year For Sure Posted November 20, 2006 Posted November 20, 2006 JP sounds like a follower. 842606 It always amazes when people say Losman isn't a leader. How the hell do we know? Great moment to end a great game.
MadBuffaloDisease Posted November 20, 2006 Posted November 20, 2006 Yep. I'm glad Peerless gave us a glimpse into the huddle like that.
generaLee83 Posted November 20, 2006 Posted November 20, 2006 Right. Undoubtedly he said "lousy" and finished the sentence with, "Gosh darn it!" 842605 I'd be willing to bet that there was a "gee whiz" in there also with maybe a "Cheese and Crackers"
ajflutie Posted November 20, 2006 Posted November 20, 2006 was at the game yesterday, behind (and wayyyyyy above) the Bills bench. Two things - one, all the posts I read all year about how JP is always alone on the sideline - well I watched yesterday and he was always with Evans/Price or Fairchild, and you could see that he was finally sick and tired of the team and himself NOT making plays. He hung in there on several balls (Evans long TD) and took a shot but put it perfectly out there. Great to see. One of the most exciting Bills games in years (with a good outcome) Also - Peters at LT - oh my god he is fast, looks huge and just smoothers whoever is coming.....I mean Mario Williams never had a chance....he's good.....scary good to steal a phrase!
Nanker Posted November 20, 2006 Posted November 20, 2006 Sounds more like a "dangnabbit!" moment, actually. 842629 You're probably right. There's no evidence that JP even believes in Gosh.

So it might have been their other DE.

Peters took care of him each time. So, you are right, the remaining times were against Pennington who also handled him.
SDS Posted November 20, 2006 Posted November 20, 2006 While this is not as criticism of JP - I sure as hell hope he wasn't going to checkdown w/ 15 seconds left. This was obvious - no?
ch19079 Posted November 20, 2006 Posted November 20, 2006 good to see him take charge. and he knew what he had to do and did it.
