The Big Cat Posted November 19, 2006 Posted November 19, 2006 I think this penalty should result in a loss of yards and downs!! Not ONLY did you break the rules (which should result in a yardage penalty), but you also (like today) used a get out of jail free card and therefore shouldn't be allowed a do-over. Anyone with me?

BuffOrange Posted November 19, 2006 Posted November 19, 2006 No, 10 yards is enough. I'd be with you if the refs were better. The problem is that they miss the blatant push-offs and call the ticky-tack stuff. The A. Johnson shove in the back is exactly the sort of obvious fould that is never called; but miraculously was caught this time.

It is very likely that ball is intercepted if the push is not made, it is a very obvious call. I think making it a 5 yard penalty and loss of down would be a good compromise.
