fakeeyed Posted November 19, 2006 Posted November 19, 2006 It happens to the best of em.....2 weeks ago Brady throws for 4 ints....it seems like unless JP has an absolute perfect game he is no good. All things considered we should be expecting more mistakes than average....not less. 842243 it seems like there are 10, maybe 20 people on this board that actually get this.

QB rating for '04 39.7 '05 60 aprox '06 80.5 BEFORE this game/ bounces up to about 83 Yeah, he's regressing all right!

17 Josh Allen Posted November 19, 2006 Posted November 19, 2006 I agree J. P is the man read on and see the real deal. __________________________________ Ok lets get real I am a J.P. Losman Supporter. his QB rating is over 80% add the stats from this game and he is close to 85. which is better than some of the best QB's in the league. All this with a restricted play calling offense, Minimal Wide out's going out in patterns, No tight end play. Then add poor full back blocking and one of the worst O-Lines in football. I think he has a bright future But the Bills need to get some help around him. If he can have close to a 85 QB -rating and over 62% completion. Look at all the problems I showed above then just think for a moment what he could do with a little help. So please have some foresite. The Bills were never going to the Playoffs this year anyways, the goal was develop J.P and try and make some progress. I feel if you give Marv Levi 3 years they will be in the playoffs. This is year one of the Levi Era . J.P. losman Is not the problem. we just need to fix our Offensive and Defensive lines and then we will see some serious Bills football like in the glory years of the early 1990's Look and some of the QB Stats for the last 7 Qb's to face the Houston Texans your so called great QB's that are on the list below did not even come close to Losman's stats and he by far has the worst O-line of all the teams except for The Dolphins. How about cutting the kid some slack. Boy Eli Manning really tore it up and put up some great stats on his home field against the Texans 179 yards passing 1 TD, 1 pick this was at home in Giants stadium. Please get off J.P. Lossman's back he has all the Tools a QB Needs to preform and do well, he just needs some help around him. Marv will get that for him QB STATS AGAINST THE HOUSTON TEXANS FOR THE LAST 7 GAMES PASSING CP/AT YDS TD INT J. Losman 26/38 340 3 1 --------------------------------------------------- PASSING CP/AT YDS TD INT D. Garrard 15/34 214 0 4 ------------------------------------------------------- PASSING CP/AT YDS TD INT E. Buffal0 Bill5 Posted November 19, 2006 Posted November 19, 2006 No matter what the cause, Playing a lesser defense, or the o-line playing better, JP showed today, that given some time he can be a pretty effective QB. What we need to see now is some consistency. Based on what he showed today, I would much rather spend draft picks on offensive lineman than on another rookie QB. Too many sure bets (Marinovich, Leaf, Jeff George, etc.) have ended up being poor performers in the NFL. JP is improving. Let's just hope it continues.
Dibs Posted November 19, 2006 Posted November 19, 2006 I agree J. P is the man read on and see the real deal.......... 842337 You know, you can just link your thread with that post rather than cut & paste it into every other thread. Just a thought.
BillnutinHouston Posted November 19, 2006 Posted November 19, 2006 I am extending this to all the people who said pass blocking was the not problem. The offensive line finally plays one HELL of a game, and Losman looks like a Pro Bowler. Coincidence? I think it should be pretty clear that Losman knows how to step up into and move around a pocket when given one. Anyone who says Losman makes the O-Line worse than they actually are can go screw themselves now. Now it let's play just as good or better next week! 842169 Exactly.

Phil Indablanc Posted November 19, 2006 Posted November 19, 2006 I wouldn't get too carried away on this one, but I will say the coaching staff picked the right game to unleash JP. I think he's been handcuffed against the better opponents so as not have a negative impact on his confidence. This game was a huge boost to JP's confidence, as well as the O-Line. Hope JP and the offense can build on this one. 842216 Dead on. It's called grooming.
Swift Sylvan Posted November 19, 2006 Posted November 19, 2006 JP played decent today, I'm happy about that. Will we be playing the Texans next week also? 842162 Decent? By that logic does that mean Peyton Manning is a decent Quarterback? Losman was at about 65% accuracy, about 9 yards per attempt, and had a ratio of TD's to int's 3 to 1. Yikes.
Willis990 Posted November 20, 2006 Posted November 20, 2006 screw you people . WE WILL NOT BE DRAFTING A QB to replace jp 842153 Yes we will. One game does not mean anything. JP will never be a consistent QB in this league. All you have to do is look at the body of work and you will know that next week he will be not productive. Mark my words.

Jp will be the QB next year mark my words
nemhoff Posted November 20, 2006 Posted November 20, 2006 I did love the first long bomb to Lee Evans, like it or not that pass was awesome. Accurate and deep! I was waiting to see him lay one out there and actually get it.
syhuang Posted November 20, 2006 Posted November 20, 2006 JP will never be a consistent QB in this league. 842561 will never?? Wow, even NFL coaches still need time to see how JP develops and don't make this kind of statement now. However, you already know it. This is amazing, you must either have more football knowledge than NFL coaches or just run your mouth too much, I take latter.
