YOOOOOO Posted November 19, 2006 Posted November 19, 2006 They couldnt run block for sh--.... BUT JP had all day to throw and finally was given a chance to show what he can do.... THANK YOU OLINE THANK YOU
Wraith Posted November 19, 2006 Posted November 19, 2006 Agree, they're awesome today. 842071 Indeed. Holy crap where did that performance come from?!?!?! Game Balls: 1) Lee Evans 2) J.P. Losman 3) Offensive Line 4) 4th Quarter Defense 5) Nate Clements I can't narrow it down any furhter. Wow!
Rubes Posted November 19, 2006 Posted November 19, 2006 Peters and Pennington did a really nice job out there. The interior is still a work in progress. I remember one play from our 5-yard line, Thomas was stuffed for a 2-yard loss. The DT made the tackle in the backfield. On the replay, he was actually DOUBLE-TEAMED on the play by Fowler and Gandy. Yikes. But the pass blocking was actually very nice.
porgyman Posted November 19, 2006 Posted November 19, 2006 Pennington vs. Mario Williams...when Pennington was one-on-one with Williams he held his own. Not bad for a 7th rounder vs. the #1 overall pick. Pennington is gaining valuable experience. I like the youth movement.
Olaf Fub Posted November 19, 2006 Posted November 19, 2006 The Bills are 2-1 since they switched up the line. I thought their play was just as important as Losman's. If they can give him time to complete some passes, teams can't just concentrate on stopping the run against us. The line was terrific today. Hopefully, they can keep it up.
JDG Posted November 19, 2006 Posted November 19, 2006 Indeed. Holy crap where did that performance come from?!?!?!! 842082 Before we get all excited, the Texans had a ton of defensive line injuries, as well as having Mario Williams playing very hurt....
tennesseeboy Posted November 19, 2006 Posted November 19, 2006 EXCELLENT JOB Offensive line. See how much better our quarterbacks and receivers look when we have effective pass blocking. Game ball to the offensive line. JP should get a game ball as well...come to think of it Evans might get one..hmmm...Price's last second catch...hell...give a game ball to the entire offense.
BuffOrange Posted November 19, 2006 Posted November 19, 2006 BUT JP had all day to throw and finally was given a chance to show what he can do.... 842018 If JP held onto the ball for another .3 seconds on those 1st Qtr TD's, the OL would've sucked, but since he didn't, he "had all day"
bluv Posted November 19, 2006 Posted November 19, 2006 If JP held onto the ball for another .3 seconds on those 1st Qtr TD's, the OL would've sucked, but since he didn't, he "had all day" 842489 But on those plays blitzes were called. We picked them up and at least gave JP time to setup and Evans to get down the field. The past 2 games JP didn't even have time to setup for when he did he was getting smashed! If you don't think that is abig difference look at Peyton struggling against the 'Girls!

SilverNRed Posted November 19, 2006 Posted November 19, 2006 Doesn't change the fact that everyone would be blaming the OL for the sack if the QB didn't unload the ball. 842509 JP had some decent pass protection but definitely not on that first TD (he got killed right after he got rid of it). In that case (and at a few other key points in the game) he just plain made things happen. And that was great to see.
bluv Posted November 20, 2006 Posted November 20, 2006 Doesn't change the fact that everyone would be blaming the OL for the sack if the QB didn't unload the ball. 842509 That still doesn't negate the fact that on that play he didn't have much time in the pocket. On those type plays where the D blitzes and plays man to man it's easier to just let it fly and hope the WR beats his man. If they get that same type of pressure only rushing 4 then it's not so simple. Earlier in the year defense kept a saftey over the top the keep Evans from making the big play. The past few weeks the pass protection has been so bad it didn't matter. If the O-line pass blocks this well from here on out I guarantee you won't see 7-8 defenders in the box from here on out for if they do Evans will make them pay!
