Zona Posted November 17, 2006 Posted November 17, 2006 are awesome. I loved the film, and thought the new Bond did a great job. He looks and acts more like "00" should IMO. Less Suave and more killer. I hope they make more. For the record, if you see this film, remember that there are no computer generated graphics during the film. Only at the opening credits. All the explosions and jumps are real.
Reed83HOF Posted November 17, 2006 Posted November 17, 2006 great... I am going to the 630 showing...can't wait...Die Another Day was too over done with with the CG ****....I know this is a prequel to all of them...I think I'm gonna miss some of the sauveness that supposedly is not there....from what I have read of course....but supposedley it has a great plot....and I like how it seems this guy is going back to Connery days and actually killing people...
ajzepp Posted November 17, 2006 Posted November 17, 2006 I haven't been excited to see a Bond film since I saw "Moonraker" as a kid. I'm excited to see this one. They finally gave Bond some balls!!
Reed83HOF Posted November 18, 2006 Posted November 18, 2006 All I have to say is wow...I can't wait for the next one....He's brutal...
Zona Posted November 18, 2006 Author Posted November 18, 2006 I also like the fact that there are limited gadgets in this one. More technology that is real ie. computers, internet stuff. Not car rockets and watch bombs. Those thing are ok occasionally, but Bond should be the weapon, not a watch.
Reed83HOF Posted November 18, 2006 Posted November 18, 2006 Die Another Day was way too over the top with the CG stuff...Denise Richards, while nice to look at...is horrible in The World is Not Enough...this was the best one in years....a gadget or 2 would have been cool; but this was supposed to be a prequel...he is a tough dude...a nice change

They finally gave Bond some balls!! 840303[/snapback] Couldnt agree more. I think after Roger Moore, Bond lost all his charachter. I thought the last couple Bond actors were flat and boring. Hoping this guy brings some edge back to the charachter. btw, I always thoguht that Alec Baldwin would have made a good bond. Kind of funny. Still has the looks and so on. Anyway, jmho.

In this one, i liked the first girl better than Vespers. Too bad she died...
diver Posted November 19, 2006 Posted November 19, 2006 I just saw the movie last night. Slightly disappointed. I was expecting an A+ and came away with a B. Many very good parts. The chase at the beginning and also the car scene chase was very cool. The Bond girls were disappointing.
tennesseeboy Posted November 19, 2006 Posted November 19, 2006 aI saw it this weekend. I thought this Bond was quite good. I would rank him just above Moore and just under Connery.
truth on hold Posted November 19, 2006 Posted November 19, 2006 great... Reed83HOF Posted November 19, 2006 Posted November 19, 2006 For the most part the bond girls could act, in addition to being pretty good looking, which was nice to see...it's too bad the italian chick got killed off so soon; plus he didn't bag the blonde chick... The onlty part I really didn't care for was when he was like I love you...I'll resign for you...ugh....yuck...not in a bond flick...at least he came around in the end...I don't want another Dalton or a wuss who falls in love all the time...they can't castrate the character...I just tried to rememebr that this was before he was bond...so I really want to see what he does as Bond... The opening sequence was wow...he beat the **** outta that guy....I never thought anyone could come close to Connery...give him a couple more movies...like this...he could take it....He even had some of the little one line quips that Moore did so well...I think will be a blend of the two....I love his accent; its heavy and rough Although I play Hold 'Em and like the game; I don't like that they used it in this movie...is just not a Bond thing I am 30 well very soon to be...I was shocked by how many younger kids were there (10 -20 yrs)... All Brosnan fans of course....after seeing this..I knocked Pierce down a few pegs
