Frez Posted August 22, 2004 Posted August 22, 2004 We have a long ways to go on both sides of the ball. Offensive line and defensive line are still question marks. They are the most important part of football if you ask me. I thought our defensive line would be ok until Chris Brown ran wild on us last night. What the hell are we doing passing the ball on the goal line? I thought we are a running team this year? Same stevestojan different pile I guess. Did you say PLAYOFFS? (Jim Mora)
njsue Posted August 22, 2004 Posted August 22, 2004 Its just preseason. A little of this a little of that. What will work and wont. Your thoughts will change after week 1.
IDBillzFan Posted August 22, 2004 Posted August 22, 2004 The third down pass was literally...and I mean literally...3rd and inches. It was worth the play action because even a Drew QB sneak would've made that first down.
njsue Posted August 22, 2004 Posted August 22, 2004 Thats what I was hoping drew would have done a QB sneak perfect set up.

Im not upset with the game. I still see things that can be ironed out. All in all I like what Im seeing.

I think pre-season shows you this more than anything else. Also, I hate to repeat it, but there was a lot of vanilla on the field in this game. A LOT of vanilla. This game is just like a woman. No matter how bad they hurt you, you still get excited for more at some point. Can you feel it?? (By the way, did you get to watch the game. Your son's favorite looked pretty good.)

Nanker Posted August 22, 2004 Posted August 22, 2004 This was Gameplan - Lite. Nobody shows off much in the way of real tendencies during the audition or summer theatre season. I'm not worried. MM has already shown a lot more moxie than his predecessor. I think he's got the attention of the troops too in a way that an air horn simply just doesn't reach. As for Vincent. He's old. We knew he was old. He'll get older during the season. Just hope he can find his legs soon enough that opposing QB's don't get to watch his backside all day.
