ACor58 Posted November 14, 2006 Posted November 14, 2006 In a game that Buffalo LED 3-0, gave up 3 goals to allow the score to be tied, then scored the next 4 to put it away, how can he say that the Canes let one slip away. http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2006/hock...s.ap/index.html
BillsFanNC Posted November 14, 2006 Posted November 14, 2006 Not to mention that the game never should have been tied. That first goal the Canes got was clearly goaltender interference.
Dante Posted November 14, 2006 Posted November 14, 2006 Sabres just overwhelmed them. There was no slipping to it.
MadBuffaloDisease Posted November 14, 2006 Posted November 14, 2006 The Sabres let SEVERAL games against Carolina slip-away in the playoffs last year.

You want to blame anyone for that goal, it's on Biron. He simply needed to reach out and grab it since he was between the passer and the guy crashing the net. Typical softy (along with Rod Brindamonkey's) by Marty that is the reason he's not a starter and we can't actually move him.

It happened right in front of me though and as soon as it happened it looked like clear cut interference to me. I'll check the TiVo when I get home today. I know the Carolina play by play man thought it was interference.

Like Darin said, Williams was arguably pushed. Regardless, the officiating of that game was...unpleasant.
beerme1 Posted November 14, 2006 Posted November 14, 2006 The way Lorentz went on about that play made me think he should have his dummy back. Peter Laviolette as someone shrewdly pointed out in last seasons playoffs, looks like a punk that would do your wife!
