Fezmid
Right now, we're barely calling any pass plays, and the plays we have called have gotten us about 100 passing yards a game the past two weeks. Actually, if you count net yards passing, we have a little over 100 total for two weeks (not 100 yards each week)...
Nanker
What I don't understand is, if you want a QB who hangs in the pocket (and then gets sacked) why get rid of Bledsoe? JP's got a great arm and he can scramble, so why do they insist on forcing him to execute (or fail to execute) plays that don't utilize his best talents? 836132 It's simple, really. JP was told he could never progress and be a great QB until he was at least as good as Bledsoe, and he's been trying to be just like Droo ever since. Having a QB like JP and an OL like ours has to be every Head Coach's nightmare. He's essentially a red shirt freshman without a supporting cast. So, you try to have him "not lose games" for you, and hope for the best every week, but I think they've actually put boots on a bunny.
Orton's Arm
Actually, if you count net yards passing, we have a little over 100 total for two weeks (not 100 yards each week)... 836134 Ouch. 50 net passing yards a game. Is it really worth it to have all those puny WRs and QBs and pass catching TEs out on the field just for that? Get rid of them! Replace every last one with big, ugly, mean men. Or build a real passing offense. Because what we're doing now ain't cutting it.
Orton's Arm
Yes, even if he himself didn't think he was being serious. Sticking to a Plan Eighth paragraph... "Before we move on, let's take a trip down memory lane. When Marv took over the Chiefs in 1978, he believed in the running game. Levy inherited a team long on running backs and short on receivers and quarterbacks, so that first year he went with a Winged T offense. The Chiefs put up some impressive numbers on the ground, averaging 41 carries per game and totalling nearlly 3000 rushing yards. The team finished 4-12 but that season built a mentality and toughness that Levy wanted to establish..." Don't make me tell you about Fairchild's time at Colorado State. . 836131 Great read. Thanks.
I 90
Or build a real passing offense. Because what we're doing now ain't cutting it. 836149 Fan think is that we are waiting for JP to develop and drafting pass blockers over the next few years. It is entirely possible that Levy - Jauron think is that JP's development isn't the most important thing on the planet. Running backs and earth movers might be day one draft picks next year. You may have stumbled onto the master plan.
