ExWNYer Posted October 7, 2004 Posted October 7, 2004 Now that the MLB playoffs are underway, I was just pondering the futility that is my sports fan existence. 1) Bills fan 2) NY Mets fan 3) Sabres fan 4) Can't stand the NBA Thank goodness for fantasy football (although not R.Rich's Keeper League)
USMCBillsFan Posted October 7, 2004 Posted October 7, 2004 I'm right there with you. All I have right now are the Yankees. 1. Bills Fan 2. Yankees Fan 3. Sabres Fan 4. Sixers Fan (from the days of Dr. J, Mo Cheeks, D Dawkins, etc...) I don't really watch b-ball anymore either. Things will get better (I HOPE)
BuffalOhio Posted October 7, 2004 Posted October 7, 2004 1. Bills 2. Sabres 3. Ohio State Football 4. Cleveland Indians Well, at least there's that Football National Championship in the near past to brag about. Seven times in the 1990's my team got to the final game and lost. Sucks to be me, but I won't change anything!!!
Fezmid Posted October 7, 2004 Posted October 7, 2004 I'm a Twins (playoffs) and Gophers football (#13 in the country) fan, so at least that's something... Oh, and I'm a Minnesota Lacrosse fan since they were just awarded a team a couple of months ago. Bought season tickets, and I'm hoping the Bandits come to town to play 'em as well. Can't wait to go to the stadium and pick out my seats -- I'm 69th on the list, so I should get a prime spot! CW

It's depressing. At least Notre Dame is 3-2 and showing some signs of life.
BuffOrange Posted October 7, 2004 Posted October 7, 2004 The only thing I have going for me is Syracuse Basketball! 60008 Ditto.....I can't wait for the season. Hopefully they'll make another run at the final 4.
stevestojan Posted October 7, 2004 Posted October 7, 2004 1. Bills 2. Sabres After that? ESPNews just to keep up to date. I watch college FB and BB (in March mainly) but dont have any teams i remotely root for all the time.
Ned Flanders Posted October 7, 2004 Posted October 7, 2004 1. Bills Not even close: Orioles On the radar screen: Notre Dame/Navy/SU football (decent, I guess) Done till when? Sabres When does practice start? SU basketball Well, at least we have baseball coming to DC next spring...

New York Yankees - saving grace LOL 3. Buffalo Sabres- when the season starts they will be good...in 2008 4. New York Knicks- cap hell, Cablevision ran them to the ground for years 5. Penn State- rough year ahead 6. St Johns Basketball- my alma mater, players there liked the strip clubs last yr, wheres Lou Carnesecca???
#89 Posted October 7, 2004 Posted October 7, 2004 !. Bills Fan Then I don't have time for the other sports.
Indy Dave Posted October 7, 2004 Posted October 7, 2004 Mixed bag for me. Bills...ugh. Sabres...missed playoffs, no 2005 season in site. And I was hoping they would be one of the surprises of the league this year too. SU football...Stinks. My alma mater (Division II school) football...0-5, not much relief in site. On the brighter side: Yankees...another good year SU basketball...another good year Pacers...a great season, things look up in 2004-05
BuffOrange Posted October 7, 2004 Posted October 7, 2004 If this doesn't get you exicted about SU basketball, then I don't know what will: http://www.athlonsports.com/store/product_...products_id=516 60155 Nice - So is Forth going to get all the minutes at Center, or do they have anyone else? I saw that Dukie V has 5 ACC teams in the top 10 (what a surprise), UNC #1, and 'Cuse #11....what a joke.
RCow Posted October 7, 2004 Posted October 7, 2004 1. Bills 2. Mets 3. Knicks 4. Rangers Though on the bright side: Maryland basketball and football have rolled and Red Sox are my second favorite BB team (please no more 10:05PM start times. )

Nervous Guy Posted October 7, 2004 Posted October 7, 2004 1. Bisons AAA Champs 2. OP Quakers #2 in Buffalo News Coaches Poll 60219 Quakers? that's a terrible name for a football team.
Nervous Guy Posted October 7, 2004 Posted October 7, 2004 1. Bills 2. Tigers 3. Sabres 4. Pistons 5. Michigan
ExWNYer Posted October 7, 2004 Author Posted October 7, 2004 1. Bills 2. Mets 3. Knicks 4. Rangers Though on the bright side: Maryland basketball and football have rolled and Red Sox are my second favorite BB team (please no more 10:05PM start times. ) 60215 Just curious...how is it that the Bills, and not one of the two New Jersey football teams, are your favorite seeing as all your other favorites are NYC teams?
