Ramius Posted November 7, 2006 Share Posted November 7, 2006 If he traded down instead of taking a safety AND giving away a pick, who is to say that he couldn't have drafted Sims AND had an extra 2nd (in addition to the one he pissed away). We don't know. A bunch of things could have happened, but Marv wanted Whitner at any and all costs, and coughed up a pick as well. Paint this as a good thing if you choose, but it sure was suspect from where I sit. Seriously.....if Marv drafts a 1st round corner in 07, will you then think that perhaps there is a problem? 828588[/snapback] I hate to limit it to the first round, but if marv goes after DB's early and often in the 2007 draft, and avoids the OL early, then i will have a serious problem. I'm just not lumping him in with TD. He's had 1 year, and he built up the defense. I fully expect him to address the line and other need areas (DE, LB) this offseason.
