D_House Posted November 3, 2006 Posted November 3, 2006 http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=2647220 In a rare move, Patterson agreed to a contract extension with the Philadelphia Eagles 24 games into his NFL career. The Eagles extended their 2005 first-round choice by rewarding him with a seven-year, $32 million extension that could be worth $37 million based on incentives and escalators. This is really surprising to me. It seems awfully early.
Ramius Posted November 3, 2006 Posted November 3, 2006 http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=2647220This is really surprising to me. He traded 9 million in up front money for 3 more years of low salary before it steps up a bit.
Max997 Posted November 3, 2006 Posted November 3, 2006 the eagles like to lock up their young players early...they did the same thing with Shawn Andrews last year and numerous other players getting them at reasonable salaries now rather then wait and have to overpay or lose them

ACor58 Posted November 3, 2006 Posted November 3, 2006 Hopefully, he does well at LT and they'll up his pay. 823988[/snapback] Or he does well at LT and holds out for more money. Who is his agent?

MadBuffaloDisease Posted November 3, 2006 Posted November 3, 2006 Peters is making about $3M a year. If he becomes as good a LT as we hope, that will be a steal.
