BuffOrange Posted November 2, 2006 Posted November 2, 2006 14 team league, start 1 QB, 1 RB, 3 WR/TE's, 1 flex. TD heavy scoring system, meaning no points for rushing/receiving yards under 100 or passing under 300, at which point 3 pts are awarded in 25 yard increments. Retarded rules I know but I'm in it now. Not really RB-friendly either unless your back catches lots of balls, which was why I drafted Jordan w/ my 1st pick which worked out great. Fortunately my 8th & 9th round QB selections have come up big. Rosters: His team: Pennington, Huard Rudi Johnson, Jacobs Reggie Brown, Randy Moss, Cotchery, Rod Smith, Gates My team: Brees, Vick McGahee, Tatum Bell, Mike Bell Ward, Horn, Driver, Evans He gets: Either QB of my choice (they're pretty similar...Vick I guess?) Tatum Bell Mike Bell I get: Pennington Rudi Reggie Brown Thoughts? Quote
CFLstyle Posted November 3, 2006 Posted November 3, 2006 Looks to be pretty much even IMO, I think losing Vick or Brees will be a shot in the foot but you're getting a fantastic running back in Rudi and a decent WR in Brown. Of course seeing as how you only need to start 1 QB this trade puts you in a much better position, I would be moving Brees a lot quicker than Vick though. Quote

Going by the stats thus far, it's a great deal. My hesitation is based on A) the Bengals brutal schedule B) I have no confidence in Brown keeping up the ridiculous pace he's on, especially w/ Stallworth coming back. I just don't know if he'll "outscore" Driver or Evans going forward. Of course it's nice to alternate my QB's based on matchups too, because as well as each has played, they're no Manning. Quote

I think Huard has a better chance at 300 yard day than Pennington (although they do play the Bills one more time). Just getting rid of the which Bell to play nightmare is almost worth it. Quote

Chilly Posted November 3, 2006 Posted November 3, 2006 Vick - 12 TDs, Brees - 11TDs. Does the league award more points to rushing TDs then passing TDs? If so, keep Vick for sure. Otherwise, its really a tossup. Keep whoever you think gives you the best chance of scoring yardage points (Vick's averaging around 78 yards/game rushing, Brees is averaging 270 yards/game passing).
