USMCBillsFan
I didn't realize this still happens. I went to the gym at 5 A.M. and it was still dark but when I came home to shower, on my street I counted 8 mailboxes smashed. I haven't seen that since I was a kid. At least they didn't get mine but I have to admit that I chuckled a little bit.

Just Jack
I knew someone that made their own mailbox out of 1/2" steel. One morning while getting the newspaper they noticed other smashed mailboxes on their street. There was only a mark on theirs, and part of a broken bat on the ground by it. BF_in_Indiana
A long time ago some friends and I ran into a mail box like that Jack. My friend hit the damn thing three times with a thick softball bat (aluminum not wood) and the head of the bat busted off. We couldn't believe it. This must have been when I was about 16.........it was funny as hell to look at a big softball bat just broken in half. The mail box didn't have a dent on it.
