R. Rich Posted October 30, 2006 Posted October 30, 2006 Are you going to start/contribute to a thread w/out a reference to either Henry or the offensive line, William?
KD in CA Posted October 30, 2006 Posted October 30, 2006 Are you going to start/contribute to a thread w/out a reference to either Henry or the offensive line, William? 820109 Would you like to hear his views on smoking in bars?
R. Rich Posted October 30, 2006 Posted October 30, 2006 I may have overheard something about that from him, once or twice before.
IDBillzFan Posted October 30, 2006 Posted October 30, 2006 Bill, the problem is our quarterback and his inability to perform the way we want him to perform or think he should perform given that he is a three-year veteran with an entire season of playing time under his belt, and that so many other teams have other quarterbacks who are better than ours with less experience and if we just get rid of the quarterback, we'll be back on track and moving toward a playoff run. We will start bringing up Travis as soon as we change quarterbacks and McGahee becomes the problem. Please try to keep up.
silvermike Posted October 30, 2006 Posted October 30, 2006 No, but I will post about how good Wali Lundy is doing this week. Marv, what were you thinking???!!??! ....yeah.
JoeF Posted October 30, 2006 Posted October 30, 2006 My Sources Deep within OBD said Marv was working a deal to bring Travis back at the trade deadline but Coach Sherman nixed it. Marv said -- "I would rather be on TBD right here, right now to see Bill's reaction if we did this deal."
Dawgg Posted October 30, 2006 Posted October 30, 2006 Bill just admit it -- you were wrong. When healthy, Travis is a very good runner and he is nowhere near as bad as you seemed to think back when he was wearing a Bills uniform. Perhaps (as you pointed out) he's not the brightest guy... perhaps he's not the best blocker (as you also pointed out)... but the guy runs hard and has a lot of heart -- something that our current running back does "most" of the time. In any case, if I remember correctly, you were so confident in your claims that you felt that he would be out of the league in a few years and not amount to anything significant. Eat the crow, my friend, and move on. Just wondering. 820107

Still early, friend.
Dawgg Posted October 30, 2006 Posted October 30, 2006 Also keep in mind that when Travis was healthy, the Titans were giving most of the carries to the ever-so-fragile Chris Brown and would give Travis maybe 5-10 carries a game. We all know that Travis is the type of runner that needs to get into a rhythm in order to be productive... finally, when given the chance, he is producing. 747 yards in 1 1/2 seasons since he left Buffalo ( I know, we should subtract a few missed games due to his drug suspension). Fezmid Posted October 30, 2006 Posted October 30, 2006 if we just get rid of the quarterback, we'll be back on track and moving toward a playoff run. Is that why we tried that play with Reed in at QB?

Still early, friend. 820303 Travis Henry was, and is, a good RB, arguable better than Willis is. Shove your stats where the sun doesn't shine, watch them play and that's all you need to know. If TH holds on to the ball, he is the far better runner (and he has been lately).

Getting a 3rd rounder for him was a good deal for the Bills.
