RuntheDamnBall Posted October 7, 2004 Posted October 7, 2004 My vote is for the Band. They put together a fusion of rock, beebop, blues, country, folk and even classical that inspired a new form of music.59672[/snapback] The Band were brilliant.... and Canadian. And Dylan and the Band, excellent. Looking at Dylan's contribution to music and our culture even in just his first ten years (and that leaves out Blood on the Tracks) is mind-blowing. Probably about 75 songs that anyone could recognize, even if they didn't know he wrote them. He's like a one-man, more introspective Beatles, and that's to say nothing of his impact on the Beatles! Can't wait to read his auto-bio. But I digress.
