SF Bills Fan
I heard the rumors on this building weeks ago and then saw the news today. This is fantastic and a long time coming. There are lots of nice projects going on downtown now. Buffalo is turning the corner and making a good comeback.

daquixers_is_back
This is a hotel-office building right? I dont really see (other than visually) how this will "turn the corner" for Buffalo.
bills_fan
Yeah, and venture capitalists are lining up to invest $$ in Buffalo. No, read the article. The guy plans to spend his own money to build this building. He already acquired the land (as part of the Statler purchase accross the street). So that hurdle is over. He plan to privately finance the thing himself. Pretty cool.

I was all for putting a casino in Rochester, but I dont think thats going to happen.

He knows everything about Buffalo's dismal past, present, and future, and he does not let facts or potential good news get in the way of his disdain as he glares down at WNY's unwashed masses.
