Former Buffalo Bill Joe D wants to

Recommended Posts

Kelly invited the entire team to his house after every home game, win or lose, for a party.  That team was close.  Maybe JP needs to start doing some of these things?

Was it because he (JK)did not know how to act in public or was it because he split the team Bickering Bills (House Ballard Incident) and he had to find some way to get the team back behind him (hhhmm free beer and food).

if so what day of the week and what time?

Joe D is on pregame and has his own show Mondays 4-5 pm

Joe also said he thinks the Bills should only draft players who are from Ohio, Penns. and who play in could weather. Local because like Kelly, Reed, Conlon, and now Evans, they have to answer to their families who are in the stands and met after the game.

Cold weather players, he does not like So Cal or Fla players, enough said.

Geez, if Joe had any say, we never would have picked up Bruce, Bennett, Hull, Thurman, etc.

FWIW, a few weeks ago, Joe D claimed, being a huge Bills fan, and considering himself a pretty good judge of football "players", he twice, over they years, called Ralph Wilson, and recommended who the Bills should draft.  His guys: Ruben Brown and Shane Conlan...

Maybe Joe D is lobbying to be the next Matt Millen?

this interview at the top of the thread certainly makes it sound like he has certain ambitions. and the fact that he didn't bash the HC or the GM really makes me think his resume is on their desk already.

hey, great feed. i think juron needs to sit every bills player down and have them listen to this. maybe that will knock some sence into them. everything he said is absolutley true, and i think the most impressive comment was the lack of heart the players have. they never play hard and Willis is a perfect case. until he gets it through his head that hes not the best, hell never be any good for the team. what does he have, like 1 touchdown this whole year?!!!

Well it worked didn't it? Let JP give free food and beer, maybe it builds a little team chemistry.

Joe D also said/implied (on the pre-game show) that he could tell whether a lineman was good or bad immediately, could draft better than any GM in the league, that scouts know nothing, and if Ralph would pay him $100,000 he would go out and find him too great linemen every year.

He also said that if his picks did not work, he would cutoff three of his fingers at mid-field, just to add some excitement ! Hence the title of this post stating that he wants to give Ralph the finger.

He wants to give Marv and Dick some time to overcome five years of bad management. Says we will see a difference in a year.

He does not rant on JP but questions when he EARNED the #1 spot.

Willis was tackled from behind by a guy with a hamstring injury. Instead of a TD he gets tackled from BEHIND. That would not have happened in the past more than once or the guy would be GONE.

He said be still "bleeds blue", and you can tell he hates it that Mike Williams wore his number.

He said that TODAY managers keep their draft picks longer than they keep their coaches because THEY used a high draft pick on a player that did not work out.

He comtraste this with Dennis Shaw - #1 pick, rookie of the year, losing his job to 4th rounder Joe Ferguson three years later. Positions were determined then by performance not by pecking order in the draft.

DAMN this should be transcribed and pinned. Joe D is my hero. He has an opinion based on logic and is not afraid to express it without calling people names.

agreed. it was a bit of a rant with some inaccuracies and romanticizing about the good old days to boot, but all the same it was great radio.
