Hammered a Lot Posted October 6, 2004 Posted October 6, 2004 did anybody run in to one? I did not hear of any but was wondering if any were set up.
bill in Livonia Posted October 6, 2004 Posted October 6, 2004 There was no check point on Big Tree Rd. After the Jax game there was one outside East Aroura.
The Tomcat Posted October 6, 2004 Posted October 6, 2004 None down 20 to Fredonia....nothing out of the ordinary.....police directing traffic.....
stevestojan Posted October 6, 2004 Posted October 6, 2004 you know where police who need to fill a quota should park? At a McDonalds drive-thru at about 3:00am. Ever since McDonalds catered to the drunks by keeping their drive-thrus open 24/7, you'd think that would be a hotspot.

taterhill Posted October 6, 2004 Posted October 6, 2004 the threat of having them is almost as effective as having them

stuckincincy Posted October 6, 2004 Posted October 6, 2004 When I lived in PGH, there was a big flap because some drunk banged into some poeple leaving Three Rivers Stadium. The County Sherriff (Eugene V. Coon - great guy - he went on TV when big steel went down in the '80's and refused to execute sherriff's sales of foreclosed homes, telling the banks that they made tons of $$$ off of people for a hundred years and to stop stabbing them in the neck), put up bunches of patrols after a Steeler's game and bagged bunches and bunches, including some big shots. He was rewarded the next year by being voted out of office...
JÂy RÛßeÒ Posted October 6, 2004 Posted October 6, 2004 The only cop I saw was the one that backed out of my way as I created a 3rd lane on the shoulder of Southwestern Blvd near Brompton.
mead107 Posted October 6, 2004 Posted October 6, 2004 could be blinding ..... a poke in the eye could hurt
stevestojan Posted October 6, 2004 Posted October 6, 2004 They should just add 5" of visco foam to all cars on the outside, and then everyone can play bumper cars leaving the lot. If you pay alot of money for a high horse power engine, it should get you something besides a speeding ticket
