Exactly... give Losman every freakin snap of every game this year... I don't care how poorly he plays. Neither Holcomb or Nall are saviors.

Let's see what the kid can do and hopefully the light will turn on at some point.

Agree 100%. Let there be no doubt that J-Lo was given a fair chance. Then if he doesn't turn it around this year, dump him quick & don't waste any more time.

This wasnt a pro-losman post. This was a post for everyone who cant see because schaub's stomach is in their face and his balls on their chin.

I wasn't commenting either way. I just wanted people to compare so they can understand why one sucks and the other doesn't. No opinion here either way. I am not saying one is good or not. Not my job to judge (yet).

It really is comical how you can take the exact same stat line, put losman in front of it and he sucks, but if you put schaub or leinart in front of it, it was a great performance and it must have been the team that let them down.

I've said neither this year.

I don't have any love for Shaub but you did conveniently leave out the fact that Shaub had a 42 rating his rookie year, and a 98 rating his second year.

I think it is because we have all seen JP Losman play this year and don't need to see his stat line to think that he sucks.

Stats don't the whole story either. A Qb with a relatively low completion percent but a fair amount of yards is probably going downfield more. As long as the INT's are down and the team is winning, that style is good in that it keeps safeites off the line and LB's back, opening the running game.

But a high completion percent with minimal yards can actually hurt a team and teams just have to play everything under, and stop the YAC's. Think Holcomb here.

You are dead on regarding completion percentage and YPA.

Stats are also not equal to grades, i.e. making incorrect reeads, missing open receivers, holding onto the ball too long, taking sacks that kill your team, fumbling snaps.

Losmans stats would actually indicate a higher grade. His stats make him look like a B- or C+ when his play actually earns him a C- or a D+.

I can't say I recall Shaub's name being brought up recently. Have I missed something?

Comparisons between teams and/or players are lame in any event...you go with what you have...

He's been discussed as he's an RFA after this year.
