The Poojer Posted October 23, 2006 Posted October 23, 2006 say the Cheifs OL of a couple years ago...I know it is easier said than done, but we have not had a quality OL in years....Could a Peyton Manning have ANY success behind what we have been putting out there? I'm just sayin.....
Fan in San Diego Posted October 23, 2006 Posted October 23, 2006 Yes, give JP an adequate OL and he will be fine. Just give JP a decent OC and this team will be much better. The playcalling just plain sucks.

But much of the time.

Manning could have some success behind our line.....but to compare a young JPL to a veteran P.Manning is not really a fair comparison.

The Poojer Posted October 23, 2006 Author Posted October 23, 2006 as good as peyton appears to be, a ton of the credit has to go to edge and marvin and...and...and...peyton is probably an anamoly...i dont want to take anything away from him, but the colts had tool upon tool upon tool...so perhaps my using peyton manning was not the best example...I mean, I was just sayin.... Tom Posted October 23, 2006 Posted October 23, 2006 Tommy Brady has a ton more time back there than any of our QB's this century!
daquixers_is_back Posted October 23, 2006 Posted October 23, 2006 No, because we have an adequate OL and JP sucks behind it. 813478 WHAT! What 0-line? We dont have an adequate 0-line. No, no, no ... this is the BILLS message board. Here is your teams message board .
JStranger76 Posted October 23, 2006 Posted October 23, 2006 Indys guards are worse than ours, but they have real good tackles and a pretty good center. I could live with JP behind KC's line of a couple years ago though, most definitley.
Bills Fan888 Posted October 23, 2006 Posted October 23, 2006 Peyton Manning didnt do good in the playoff game agianst the Steelers because they were getting lots of pressure on him.
The Poojer Posted October 23, 2006 Author Posted October 23, 2006 i hear too many people say "...lets get Brady Quinn...", "...we shoulda gone with Leinert..." etc....put a dress on a pig and what do you get? A pig...wearing a dress...lets stop with the band-aids and lets fix the main problem once and for all

Now go check out Harrisons numbers BEFORE and AFTER Peyton arrived.
The Poojer Posted October 23, 2006 Author Posted October 23, 2006 yeah i know edge is no longer there and you can tell...addai is not edge and the 4 headed monster is not quite as potent as it was...although they do seem to make up for it in other places...wayne, freney...etc Edge is no longer with the Colts and Peyton has 1600 yards, 12 TD's, and 2 INT's ... The Poojer Posted October 23, 2006 Author Posted October 23, 2006 i did not know that, they can't possibly have as many total yards without edge's catches can they????? And yet they have just as many rushing yards this year as they had last year (up to this point) ... go figure 813512

Us? We'd do better with turnstiles. Where is Carl Mauch anyway?
JStranger76 Posted October 23, 2006 Posted October 23, 2006 The interior Indy line will cave in when the playoffs come as always though. Count on it.
daquixers_is_back Posted October 23, 2006 Posted October 23, 2006 i did not know that, they can't possibly have as many total yards without edge's catches can they????? 813517 Agh! I didnt think of catches. Oh well. But yeah, the rushing yards are within about 15 yards of each other.
daquixers_is_back Posted October 23, 2006 Posted October 23, 2006 The interior Indy line will cave in when the playoffs come as always though. Count on it. 813523 Yep . And Peyton will take the fall by the media even though he had about .02 seconds to throw.
JStranger76 Posted October 23, 2006 Posted October 23, 2006 Too bad. I like Peyton but that is what happens when you try to get by with Mike Pucillo types at both guard spots.
