millbank Posted October 6, 2004 Posted October 6, 2004 Really fine pitching Twins ahead 2 - 0 in sixth. Am rooting for the Yankees, but Somethng for Jacque Jones hit a homerun , his father passed away two days ago , must really be tough for this man.....
Pete Posted October 6, 2004 Posted October 6, 2004 Yanks are hitting and getting on base- they have to stop hitting into double plays. They are due for a 3 run homer!
Fezmid Posted October 6, 2004 Posted October 6, 2004 Go Twins! (and this isn't anti-Yankee sentiment; I live in Minnesota!). Ok, maybe a LITTLE anti-Yankee sentiment... CW
Tux of Borg Posted October 6, 2004 Posted October 6, 2004 Get these little league teams off the field. Time for the fall classic between the Yanks and Socks.
ExiledInIllinois Posted October 6, 2004 Posted October 6, 2004 If there is going to be team to beat the Yanks, I would take the Twins. Hard not to love them. Same team that Bud wanted to contract. Take that BUD!
KD in CA Posted October 6, 2004 Posted October 6, 2004 Actually Santana doesn't look as good as usual. The defense has been excellent behind him. Hopefully he can hold it together for a few more innings.

CosmicBills Posted October 6, 2004 Posted October 6, 2004 When this guy started singing "God Bless America", I thought it was a joke. What a crazy voice.
KD in CA Posted October 6, 2004 Posted October 6, 2004 see that though is coming up with the big pitches when he needs them gets Matsui with runners on... 58494 Yeah, nice of the 3d base ump to give Matsui a fourth strike. His entire bat was in front of the plate on the prior pitch and the ump refused to punch him out. Man, that is some set of pipes on that dude singing God Bless America!
CosmicBills Posted October 6, 2004 Posted October 6, 2004 even if this lead holds up, it's no worry. As Torre says, the most crucial game in any series is Game 2. I expected the Twins to win Game One. But, it ain't over till it's over.
Simon Posted October 6, 2004 Posted October 6, 2004 As Torre says, the most crucial game in any series is Game 2. Gee, I wonder why he says that?-)
Pete Posted October 6, 2004 Posted October 6, 2004 Gee, I wonder why he says that?-) 58534 Yanks have lost their last 3 game 1s
CosmicBills Posted October 6, 2004 Posted October 6, 2004 Gee, I wonder why he says that?-) 58534 It is a shame to waste such a strong outing from Moose when they were hitting Johan. Very reminicent of the WS last year.
millbank Posted October 6, 2004 Author Posted October 6, 2004 Hunter pulls a a- bomb back from the wall yikes.........
Simon Posted October 6, 2004 Posted October 6, 2004 Yanks have lost their last 3 game 1s I bet if you go back a few years, you can make a lot fuglier a number than that.......
BF_in_Indiana Posted October 6, 2004 Posted October 6, 2004 Ah......that was beautiful if you ask me.
