TheMadCap Posted October 22, 2006 Posted October 22, 2006 Yeah, but can you afford to waste another half of a season on JP?? Let Craig get a shot for a few games to see if maybe he's the answer 812446 Like we are going to be a playoff team this year? The guy hasn't even played one full season yet. Good thing you aren't in charge. Craig Nall indeed...
bills4bowl21 Posted October 22, 2006 Posted October 22, 2006 anyone realllyyyyy sick and tired of how these announcers over-praise the patriots..i mean its just every second they will be talking about how good they are.....i thoguht they were about to go down there and slap kelsay in the face for hitting brady aka "GOD" ..and how they were saying brady was under pressure alll game when losman is under pressure every play every game...these announcers BLOW!
Simon Posted October 22, 2006 Posted October 22, 2006 Why does it take until the 2nd half to get Evans involved? Actually they got Evans involved on the very first possesion but Mr. Character Peerless Price cost them a 1stdown by loafing before teh snap and drawing a penalty that cost the Bills a possession.
UConn James Posted October 22, 2006 Posted October 22, 2006 Anyone see the graphic that we have 22 penalties before the snap this season? Second most in the league.
DCBongo Posted October 22, 2006 Posted October 22, 2006 Yeah, but can you afford to waste another half of a season on JP?? Let Craig get a shot for a few games to see if maybe he's the answer 812446 This season is shot, I say we can wait, because after this season either we will all be behind JP, or, Craig will have an open shot for the starters role since JP will be gone.
VABills Posted October 22, 2006 Posted October 22, 2006 Actually they got Evans involved on the very first possesion but Mr. Character Peerless Price cost them a 1stdown by loafing before teh snap and drawing a penalty that cost the Bills a possession. 812455 I disagree that it was peerless. The entire oline never set after the snap. The whole bunch was moving and talking when the ball was snapped.
dave mcbride Posted October 22, 2006 Posted October 22, 2006 And where is that staff now? What they know is one kind of way to call a defense. And I for one am tired of the Bills employing one-trick ponies who make personeel changes based on the defense they insist on running only to have it not work and have to do it all over again when teh Bills hire yet another stiff who can't use his personell to their maximum effectiveness. And maybe the reason that Clements was so much better in 03 was that he was actually allowed to play football instead of having to stand around 10 yards away from the game and wait for it to come to him. 812444 i dunno. i think clements is hurt.

I rewatched the play and didn't see anyone except for Parrish in motion, and he stopped long enough. Bad call. But 2 plays later was nice.
Berman Posted October 22, 2006 Posted October 22, 2006 At least Mcgahee came to play today, It looks like Reed is also playing with a big attitude.
CoachChuckDickerson Posted October 22, 2006 Posted October 22, 2006 exactly but everyone will be J.P.'s case and not McNabbs just because of his history of being a good QB.....if your going to say that J.P. does some things, then you better open your eyes and look around the league -- im sure every QB does some bad things once in a while 812441 It is called consistency. Good QBs have it, bad QBs don't.
Simon Posted October 22, 2006 Posted October 22, 2006 The thing that really gets me about the cushion is that they STILL have two safeties 20 yards from the LoS, which means that there isn't an 8th man in the box for the running game. So the Bills are keeping 2 safeties way back and 2 corners way back at the same time...WTF?! I guess they're really scared of getting beaten deep? 812449 Yeah, that looked particularly bright against Pennington's big brain and little arm. I don't know why people keep referring to this joke as a Tampa2 when the corners aren't up and disrupting opponents' timing. The best thing about a Cover2 for the corners is that they get to attack the LOS. Except in Buffalo.
VABills Posted October 22, 2006 Posted October 22, 2006 i dunno. i think clements is hurt. 812463 He is. He has played most of the season with a torn quad.
MadBuffaloDisease Posted October 22, 2006 Posted October 22, 2006 He is. He has played most of the season with a torn quad. 812468 Where did you hear that?
dave mcbride Posted October 22, 2006 Posted October 22, 2006 He is. He has played most of the season with a torn quad. 812468 shockingly, he hasn't made a great play all season, and despite all the jokes made here, he is actually a playmaker. a slightly torn quad is the sort of thing that causes such a production decline ...
VABills Posted October 22, 2006 Posted October 22, 2006 Where did you hear that? 812469 They just started reporting it 2 weeks ago, but it seems he's had it longer. http://www.canada.com/topics/sports/story....34fccd6&k=94705
Simon Posted October 22, 2006 Posted October 22, 2006 i dunno. i think clements is hurt. 812463 He may be (didn't he tweak a quad a couple weeks back or something?) but he wasn't hurt last year. He's just continually being asked to play a game that is not conducive to his abilities or in synch with his temperment. All the folks who hate him will be glad when he leaves this offseason to go someplace where he's alllowed to play football.
stuckincincy Posted October 22, 2006 Posted October 22, 2006 Congrats to Dick Jauron for only taking 15 seconds to figure out that it might be a good idea to take a TO when you've got your opponents in 3rd/13 deep in theri own end inside the 2:00 warning. Of course maybe he wasn't ready for it because he only had 1 left after a bad challenge and the fact his O-Coordinator keeps pissing away time-outs because he can't get the play in on time. And more props to the defensive staff for their continued insistence in keeping two good corners as far from the LOS as they can possibly get them. A great strategy agaiinst a ball control offense that's weak at teh WR position. Last year's staff looks like Parcells/Belichick compared to these asshats. 812424 They are not alone. 40 seconds left in the 1st half, B'gals have the ball on their own 20 and have 2 timeouts left. They run for 8 yards on 1st down but don't stop time. Clock hits 14 seconds then a b'gal commits a false start. By rule, another 10 seconds get taken off the clock. 4 seconds left, time expires. In the Texas - Nebraska game, 'Huskers coach Bill Callahan fails to use his t-o's when Tex. was deep in his zone...they kicked a FG, and when they got the ball back, they had something like 15 seconds.
Maguire's Beer Posted October 22, 2006 Posted October 22, 2006 And I for one am tired of the Bills employing one-trick ponies who make personeel changes based on the defense they insist on running only to have it not work and have to do it all over again when teh Bills hire yet another stiff who can't use his personell to their maximum effectiveness. 812444 A-effing-men. The beginning of the end of fun Sundays was the day that Donahoe hired Gregg Williams, who assumed the HC job determined to eradicate any signs of the highly effective Phillips/Cottrell defense -- simply because he needed to do things the way he did them in Tennessee. The fact that we didn't have the personnel to do things the way he did them in Tennessee should've caused him to think twice, but Gregggggg wasn't much for thinking in the first place . . .
bluv Posted October 22, 2006 Posted October 22, 2006 It seems as if we are always in one mode; either run or all pass. Where is the rhythm that needs to be establish. It always seems like we come to a crucial 3rd and 8 or more and something always goes bad.
MadBuffaloDisease Posted October 22, 2006 Posted October 22, 2006 How was that catch by Caldwell a 1st?
