CoachChuckDickerson
It's hard to take Felser too seriously these days - he used to be a fairly decent sports columnist/reporter but these days he's just old, tired, and maybe even 'a couple beers short of a six-pack'. JP will have bad games - this is his first full year as a starter, ferschissakes. He's young and green - thanks to sitting out his first year with a broken leg and being grossly mishandled by Mularkey last season. It may take the rest of this season and all of next before JP really comes into his own. The O-line still needs rebuilding, Willis has to stop whiffing on his blocks, and we have to start working the TEs into the offensive game plan more. I'm surprised that the QB situation is still being debated - at least in Felser's now-feeble mind. I really thought this topic had already been beaten into the ground. Let's see how JP and the team rebound today against a quality opponent, and let's see how he looks down the stretch. I know this outcome would change Felser's tune... Bills - 27 Pats - 10 812209 So last year was his first year as a starter, but Mularkey made him inconsistant and yanked him too early. So this year is his REAL first year, and he is still as inconsistant as he was last year. If he ends this year as inconsistant as he started it, how many more "first years" does a 3rd year pro get? I would have never guessed. I’m not too happy with the way JP has been protecting the ball lately but he does show flashes that indicate he can play in this league. JDG
Imagine that, a guy who has less than 16 starts to his name is inconsistent. I would have never guessed. Actually, he doesn't seem all that inconsistent. He actually seems to be consistently rather bad. I’m not too happy with the way JP has been protecting the ball lately but he does show flashes that indicate he can play in this league. 812459 As Kelly the Dog might say, "Hence, the tease." I'm actually curious as to what those flashes might have been in the last three weeks? Our "broken play offense" against the Lions? The garbage time TD against the Bears? Our six points in a must-win, measuring-stick game at home? Just wonderin'..... JDG
