THE LIES

1. Gandy is a good left tackle.

2. The Bills suck because of bad coaching.

3. Money is no issue when hiring a head coach.

4. Max, er ah, Matt Leinart has no arm strength.

5. JP Losman will get better with more experience.

6. Money is no object when acquiring free agents.

THE TRUTH

1. Gandy sucks. Gandy is playing out of position. He should be a guard.

2. This may be true, but how many coaches do you need to go through before you realize that the players suck and should take the brunt of the blame?

3. Yeah, right. The Bills are consistantly amongst the bottom of the league in Head coaching payroll.

4. Matt Leinart isn't a Bill because the owner is a cheap skate. The Bills invested in Losman and they want to get their money's worth. Leinart has good enough arm strength. Brady has comparable arm strength and he gets by just fine.

5. JP Losman showed promise through Week 4, but has gotten progressively worse ever since. I realize that he played a tough Bears defense but he did much worse than any other QB that the Bears have faced. Chicago's opposing QB rating is in the 60's. JP's QB rating in that game against the Bears was in the 30's. The Lions pass defense is awful. Where's JP's excuse there? Of course there are other factors that go into JP's play such as pass protection and rushing.

6. Other than TKO and Drew Bledsoe, who have the Bills broken the bank for?

Gandy couldnt block me.

At Guard, tackle or center.

Maybe at the buffet line, but even that is in question.

2) Exactly who at OBD is telling us that the Bills suck because of bad coaching? ;)

6) London Fletcher? TD also extended Schobel and Peters. I forgot who extended McGee. Probably Marv because he is a defensive back.

Now heres the real TRUTH:

1: No Gandy is an adequate LT, serviceable; the best we got until we can get a standout LT who are hard to come by. Give Levy one more year

2. Bad coaching and poor gameplanning has had it's hand in it as when you don't put your players in the best positions to succed or leave bullets in the chambers then yes you have underachieved as a coach.

3. Ask he Redskins what money buys in the NFL

4. Let's seem his weak arm try to cut throw the winds at Orchard Park instead of Sunny Arizona.

5. JP already has gotten better in every aspect and has shown he can be accurate and make every throw. WIth more experience and better playcalling he will be evn better.

6. Again ask the Redskins what spending money on big free agents get you if they don't pan out

5. That's BS. JP played the Bears just as well as Matt Hassellbeck did the previous week (which wasn't good). And all this talk about taking "steps back" is horsesh**. What other position could you have a down week or two and then declare that there is extreme regression. It's just stupid and something the media likes to jump on. JP had a bad first half at Detroit and then seemed back on track in the 2nd half.

1. That was Gandy's worst performance as a Bill. He's a borderline starter and we need to upgrade this off-season.

2. Haven't heard anything about bad coaching.

3. Wah Wah Wah

4. I think its a combo of Leinart's arm and that he's a celebrity qb and wouldn't have wanted to spend time in Buffalo. Plus we really didn't know what we had in JP and had a defense that had just gotten over the hill.

6. "Breaking the bank" is generally a pretty stupid proposition. The good teams in this league don't get good by bringing in high priced free agents, they build a team up from the draft and smart FA moves.

3 & 6 are eerily similar aren't they?

#4...you must be wrong. Joe Theesman said on national TV that he was wrong about Lienart (this after watching him for less than 1 half). His arm is plenty strong.

#5...he's gotten better...still a ways to go...still need consistently solid receivers among many offensive needs.

2. You haven't heard anything about bad coaching? We fired three coaches since 2000. That says it all. Obviously Ralph Wilson thinks it's the coaches fault.

4. Jim Kelly didn't want to be in Buffalo either, look how that turned out.

6. You might have a point there.

No - it needs time, care and attention. And I hear that if you sit on your hand for 15 minutes before, it feels like someone else is doing it.

Had to get the point across: money can't buy championships in a salary capped NFL! And as far as Leinart goes, lets just see him play throw a pass over 15 yards or performin non perfect weather before we take that weak arm label off! As far as JP goes, he does have a long ways to go. But he has such a high ceiling and really isn't playing too bad right now. In fact if the Bills D played like the Raven,Steelers, or Bronco's then we'd be gushing over how great JP is for we'd be 6-0 as he has played better than any of those teams QB's!

You are wrong on nearly all accounts (coaching payroll aside).

The premise alone that you are being "sold" something, as if you were being swindled is absurd.

The Owner has not been a cheapskate for over 15 years re: players.

You are blind if you have not seen dramatic progress from JP.

where is the evidence that JP has gotten progressively worse? It takes four games to build confidence and only 2 to completely obliterate it?

21/34 for 207 yds 2 tds and an int is NOT THAT BAD!!!

I like Jerry Sullivan's quote on Gandy, "Gandy couldn't block an email."

Did I just say I liked something that Jerry Sullivan said? Help the sky is falling!

As said many time before, if you want to complain about how much is spent on coaching and breaking the bank for FA's, go to the Redskins board and find out how well its working for them.

As for Leinart, He is going to be a good QB, but I think it is going to depend on the places he plays. Alot of QB's look good playing home games in Domes. He has a rep of not being able to play well in bad weather situations. He has one good game and everyone thinks he is the second coming and the Bills office made a mistake not picking him. Alot of QB's look good for a couple of games, is everyone filling out their Rex Grossman Pro Bowl starter ballots yet?

Apparently QB's don't take time to develop so JP who has put up good numbers all year (OK the Bears game was not great for anybody on the team not just JP) but because the Bills lose its all because of him? The guy throws in interception and he is a bust. Alot of great QB's took time to develop, and JP, now that he finally has decent coaching, is starting to mature and develop into a good starter. Unless Brady Quinn can play LT, I don't think you will see him in a Bills uniform next year

Yes, 21/34 for 207 yds 2 TDS/1 int and a fumble is the performance of a complete and total bust that has us longing for the Gary Marangi era, but 24/42 for 232 2 TD/0 int and a fumble returned for a TD is future first-ballot HOF brilliance.

It's a fine line...
