Jim was a close family friend... He used to tell us (my sister and i as very young kids) that his last name was Nasium... Jim Nasium (that you, you've been a wonderful audience!)... anyways, from the article (haven't talked to family yet) it looks like it was a painless, quick death, which is how anyone would want to go.

This morning I only read 3 stories in the Buffalo News. Your friends story was one of them. That story brought tears to my eyes. What a couple.

he was a good guy... after a few days of reflection, if you'd have asked him 10 years ago how he'd like to die, he'd be crazy enough to come up with "instant death by a tree limb from 80 feet". i don't feel too bad... sh-- happens. hell, if i'm going to die tomorrow, i'd want it to be something equally as crazy.
