Rayzer32 Posted October 15, 2006 Posted October 15, 2006 Is anyone surprised that the hapless Lions get their first W against the Bills?
Frez Posted October 15, 2006 Posted October 15, 2006 It's going to be 3-13 boys and girls Write it down
zow2 Posted October 15, 2006 Posted October 15, 2006 Still waiting for a Bills TEAM to rally late and pull a game out.
Risin Posted October 15, 2006 Posted October 15, 2006 Is anyone surprised that the hapless Lions get their first W against the Bills? 805058 Yeah, as suprised that Detroit got constant pressure with a 4-man rush.
grog Posted October 15, 2006 Posted October 15, 2006 Is anyone surprised that the hapless Lions get their first W against the Bills? 805058 Not at all, I actually didn't think we would this game.
ofiba Posted October 15, 2006 Posted October 15, 2006 Well if anyone was still clinging to an outside shot of sneaking in the playoffs... This one sure ends that.
Rayzer32 Posted October 15, 2006 Posted October 15, 2006 Well a QB needs to be OUTSIDE of the pocket and the ball near the LOS for it to be a legal throwaway. In the pocket, whether near the LOS or not and no one around is IG. 805056 He is talking about the pass that was thrown 30 yards downfield I believe. It was a dangerous throw and if it went out of bounds it was not IG.
Corp000085 Posted October 15, 2006 Posted October 15, 2006 the bills are pretty happless now... the kool aide drinkers (myself included) should start to feel the hangover tomorrow
YOOOOOO Posted October 15, 2006 Posted October 15, 2006 WINNER OF THE GOAT OF THE WEEK: GOES TO: MIKE GANDY GOOD JOB BUDDY....YOUR GREAT PLAY COST US A GAME...
Maguire's Beer Posted October 15, 2006 Posted October 15, 2006 For what it's worth: Intentional Grounding of Forward Pass 1. Intentional grounding of a forward pass is a foul: loss of down and 10 yards from previous spot if passer is in the field of play or loss of down at the spot of the foul if it occurs more than 10 yards behind the line or safety if passer is in his own end zone when ball is released. 2. Intentional grounding will be called when a passer, facing an imminent loss of yardage due to pressure from the defense, throws a forward pass without a realistic chance of completion. 3. Intentional grounding will not be called when a passer, while out of the pocket and facing an imminent loss of yardage, throws a pass that lands at or beyond the line of scrimmage, even if no offensive player(s) have a realistic chance to catch the ball (including if the ball lands out of bounds over the sideline or end line). The key is to get outside the tackles, or to make it look like there was a "realistic chance of completion."
daquixers_is_back Posted October 15, 2006 Posted October 15, 2006 Not if it goes past the line of scrimmage or he is outside the pocket. DUHHHH!!!! 805046 Wrong. If your in the pocket, and you throw it away (whether past the LOS or not) its still going to be Intentional Grounding. Losman would have had to escape 3 tacklers, run out of the pocket and then throw it out of bounds. Thats ridiculous and you know it.
Dibs Posted October 15, 2006 Posted October 15, 2006 It's going to be 3-13 boys and girlsWrite it down 805060 No effing way. Nope. Not a chance.
Rayzer32 Posted October 15, 2006 Posted October 15, 2006 Yeah, as suprised that Detroit got constant pressure with a 4-man rush. 805064 I think most teams could get a decent push against our o-line with a 2 man rush.
Chef Jim Posted October 15, 2006 Posted October 15, 2006 WINNER OF THE GOAT OF THE WEEK:GOES TO: MIKE GANDY GOOD JOB BUDDY....YOUR GREAT PLAY COST US A GAME... 805070 Come on man, you can't blame this loss on one guy. This whole team sucks, top to bottom.
Anon Y. Mous Posted October 15, 2006 Posted October 15, 2006 Is anyone surprised that the hapless Lions get their first W against the Bills? 805058 not at all! We lost a winnable game in typical fashion after being crushed the week prior
Dibs Posted October 15, 2006 Posted October 15, 2006 Wrong. If your in the pocket, and you throw it away (whether past the LOS or not) its still going to be Intentional Grounding. Losman would have had to escape 3 tacklers, run out of the pocket and then throw it out of bounds. Thats ridiculous and you know it. 805073 He's correct on the rule.
grog Posted October 15, 2006 Posted October 15, 2006 I am sick and tired of this crap, my wifed just asked me why do I do this to myself week after week, year after year, I'm starting to forget why.
AJ1 Posted October 15, 2006 Posted October 15, 2006 Wow, what a brutal game. 805061 If we don't go tackle, guard, center, guard in the draft I'll be disappointed. Or some close varient of that.
