VABills Posted October 13, 2006 Posted October 13, 2006 Dman republicans, putting these hard working Americans out on the street. If the dems were in office this would never happen.
erynthered Posted October 13, 2006 Posted October 13, 2006 Randi Rhodes can always go back to naked mud wrestling.
Bungee Jumper Posted October 13, 2006 Posted October 13, 2006 They're still around? Today's the one day I'd like to listen to them. You just know some nutbag at some point, either one of the on-air personalities or a caller, is going to blame Republicans for it.
Alaska Darin Posted October 13, 2006 Posted October 13, 2006 Where's the clown who used to give us the inside scoop on how great it was doing? Did I ban him?

stuckincincy Posted October 13, 2006 Posted October 13, 2006 They never seemed to figure out that even with a political show, there has to be at least some moments of lightness and entertainment to keep an audience. Whenever I happened upon it, it was as if host, guest, or both would soon burst a neck or head vessel and splatter the studio with blood...

At least I tried, I've never been able to hate as good as those folk.
PastaJoe Posted October 13, 2006 Posted October 13, 2006 It's tough for a liberal station to make a go of it, because by definition liberals are more open to different ideas, and therefore it's harder to attract a loyal repeat audience as it is for the conservative talk shows that are good at reinforcing the conservative views of people who aren't willing to consider other opinions. Plus many conservative listeners are older retired folks and stay-at-home people who have more time to listen to talk radio.

Want to try again?

PAGE 16 for the short bus riders.

This one's actually pretty comical. Did you mean it that way??

Air America failed because liberals are too open-minded to listen to it?

Air America's regular line-up was predicated on the fact that they figured there would be enough rockin' lefties out there who actually cared what Al Franken or Randi Rhodes had to say. Unlike say right wing radio listeners, who pretty much have to have things dictated to them by somebody who appears to be a folksy populist, most libs are too intelligent and diverse to fall for that. Or maybe we just have lives?
