They never seemed to figure out that even with a political show, there has to be at least some moments of lightness and entertainment to keep an audience.

Whenever I happened upon it, it was as if host, guest, or both would soon burst a neck or head vessel and splatter the studio with blood...

It's tough for a liberal station to make a go of it, because by definition liberals are more open to different ideas, and therefore it's harder to attract a loyal repeat audience as it is for the conservative talk shows that are good at reinforcing the conservative views of people who aren't willing to consider other opinions. Plus many conservative listeners are older retired folks and stay-at-home people who have more time to listen to talk radio.

Actually the average age of a radio listener is 46, well under the "normal" retirement age. Want to try again?

Also if you look at that the majority of Democrats and or independants who feel closer to the democrats are the largest radio listening audiance by a large amount. PAGE 16 for the short bus riders.

Dude you've posted some crap over time, but this one is by far the biggest smelliest pile yet. This one's actually pretty comical. Did you mean it that way??

What? Air America failed because liberals are too open-minded to listen to it?

Absolutely. Air America's regular line-up was predicated on the fact that they figured there would be enough rockin' lefties out there who actually cared what Al Franken or Randi Rhodes had to say. Unlike say right wing radio listeners, who pretty much have to have things dictated to them by somebody who appears to be a folksy populist, most libs are too intelligent and diverse to fall for that.

Or maybe we just have lives?
